Order placement was easy. I expected the product to ship the same day, based on previous experience, since I placed the order in the morning but it didn't ship until the next evening. Shipping transit time was really quick, especially since I chose the free shipping offer. Buy.com typically, althogh not always, has the best prices on technology products.

even though I've been a buy.com customer for over five years, I received an e-mail request asking for a copy of my driver's license and credit card. Only after I threatened to cancel the order was the request retracted. I'm not sure if I'll go back to buy.com in the future. I've also told other potential customers about this intrusive request.

Buy.com communicates exclusively via e-mail. They provide no phone number at all. Their e-mail communication seems to be mostly by form letter, and/or they simply don't read very thoroughly the e-mail they receive. The web site performed so poorly that I accidentally ordered two items instead of one, and it eventually became hopeless trying to return the second item so I just kept it.
