AWFUL

I ordered a 1GB chip for my digital camera 2 weeks before a trip (with 7-9 day shipping) because I wanted to make sure I had it. They kept telling me that they shipped it and that I had to keep waiting for it. I used the tracking number on the USPS website and it showed that they never even sent it. I called buy.com to tell them, and they denied it and said that I had to keep waiting. Basically they kept stalling me and lying to me. Annoying. I NEVER got what I ordered.

"In Stock" order not shipped after 10 days, will not respond to email, phone useless

We ordered an "in stock" printer on July 1, it's now July 10 and it still has not shipped. I called customer service and they just kept repeating "this item takes 1 - 2 business days to ship" I can read that on the web site on the product page. Problem is that after 10 days it still hasn't. When I asked why so long again "please wait 1 to 2 business days" I think I was speaking to a trained parrot.
I also sent an email 4 days ago, but no response. We will avoid shipping at buy.com in the future, and recommend that others stay away as well.

Double Charged and their Customer Service won't resolve

I was double charged by Buy.com, after following instructions on their website. I'm sure that Buy.com is a great website as long as nothing goes wrong with your order, but if you have to deal with their customer service department BEWARE!
They send form responses to emails (which I don't think they bothered to read) and on the phone, they don't actually listen to what you are saying, even the supervisors would not actually listen to what I said. If their computer doesn't show it, it can't be true, conversation over.
I would highly recommend avoiding Buy.com for their customer service. If anything ever goes wrong, you are up a creek without a paddle.

Low Price Guarantee? I call it "Price Fixing"

Buy.com is crap. I am a "regular customer" so I sign in when I'm shopping. I have a "Buy.com" credit card, and get a cool 3% off everything I buy there. I ordered an external hard drive at a reasonable price, and received it is good order in about 3 days. On the same day, they were offering the same item for about $9 cheaper. Only 3 days past my purchase, I asked them about a low price guarantee. They replied that certain criteria disqualify you for that LPG. In my case, it was the Free Shipping. What?? Everything I've bought from them has been shipped for free. I'm not sure, but I believe I got a "special" price because they know I'm getting the rebate. It's called price-fixing. The low price guarantee is effectively non-existent. I won't even LOOK at Buy.com ever again... buyer beware.

Fast Shipping Period! Applied for a charge card to get another $25 bucks off the computer on a Sunday, by the following Friday with no extra shipping charges, the computer arrived at my door. One word Awesome! Not sure if I just got lucky or they may have their act together but I would order from them again!

Wont shop at Buy.com again

Another sucker for the Buy.com/Connect3D rebate fiasco. Ultimately, Connect3D is responsible for their own rebates, but Buy.com apparently contacted "all" of the affected users and gave them $10 gift certs. I was an affected user and got squat. Apparently their database didn't spit my name out. It's for that reason, not Connect3D's inability to give rebates that I will no longer shop at Buy.com. "All" their customers doesn't really mean ALL their customers. Great for the people they contacted, bummer for the rest of us. So long, Buy.com, there are plenty of players in the online shopping game.

Don't buy from this site!!!!!!!!!! They have terrible customer service! I only wish I would have seen these other reviews-I would have never wasted my time. If you want automated responses, no phone numbers to call, and super long delays-these are your guys! I will never, ever buy anything from this site again!!!!!!!!!

They're good if you don't care when you get what you ordered. But God help you if something goes wrong, because Buy.com's customer service people sure won't.
Buy.com's customer service is unreachable (I had to Google them to get a phone number; and that number was no longer in service - even Directory Assistance didn't have a number for them.)
I'm still waiting for a package that should have arrived today, because that is what I PAID FOR.
Absolutely terrible. Never again.

buy.com doesn't care about customer service

placed order thru google checkout for a memory card, initial 'tracking' showed it shipped the next day, but the tracking number provided worked on neither fedex's or usps' sites. after a week, there were two other clickable tracks using the same number, all traveling different places across the country (none of which near me). Called buy.com to find out what was going on, they had no clue, said they would submit a claim and it would take 3-5 business days to get back to me. During that time they refused to talk about the item until the 5 business days had passed. It's painfully obvious that they weren't doing anything at all during this time, it was a stalling tactic to 'wait and see what happens' it is now 6 business days later, and over 2 weeks since I initially placed the order and still no word from buy.com. I would recommend everyone to stay far away from buy.com. My girlfriend had a similar problem with an order accidentally improperly placed, she tried to cancel just over an hour later and they said they couldn't do it, even though the item didn't ship till 3 days later. AVOID buy.com.

Buy.com won't honor the rebate!

I bought a 2GB SD card from Buy.com which in January, was advertised as "Free after $50 rebate". Actually the retail price of this SD card was much higher than similar items in market at that time, and the brand was not well-known. But because Buy.com used to have quite good reputation, and the SD card was Free after rebate, I bought it for $50.
Now 6 months after that, the rebate has still not been paid. The manufacturer disappeared and Buy.com refused to honor the rebate.
It was horrible experience. I will not shop at Buy.com anymore.

Facts:
I had been a loyal Buy.com customer for several years and several thousand dollars. But that all changed.
I received an order and there was a mistake in picking my order. I contacted Buy.com and they told me to contact their vendor. I tried for several days to contact their vendor without any response. I then contacted Buy.com again and they would not help. I requested to speak with a supervisor and was told no.
Opinion:
When I made the order with Buy.com, I made a contracted them to correctly complete my order. I did not pick Buy.com's vendor nor did I authorize any deviation from my original contract. When my original contract was not completed correctly, I expected Buy.com to fix the issue not to tell me to fix their vendor.
What a poor business model. They made a few dollars today but I will not ever go to them again.

Frustrating & unsatisfactory

Twice I purchased an SD card that was advertised on Buy.com with a rebate. The first time they sent a different card that did not qualify for the rebate. After many emails back & forth, they finally refunded my money. Foolishly, I tried again with a different SD card, never dreaming they would do the same thing! One time could be a mistake; twice is a pattern of misleading advertising. Now they are not even answering my emails. I am through buying from them.

I bought a Panasonic Microwave oven from BUY.COM. They gave me the best price & fast delivery. The transaction details were great.
But when the unit was delivered, the bottom was literally falling out of the shipping carton. I'm surprised the microwave didn't crash to the pavement during delivery. When I opened up the carton, it was apparent that, although the microwave appeared to be new, it had been (badly) repackaged. Furthermore, much of the assembly hardware (screws, bolts, etc.) was loose and rattling around - some making their way inside the microwave's case & internal workings. Luckily, I was able to fish everything out.
Perhaps this was a returned item or a display item, but I wasn't happy that it wasn't factory fresh. I purchased with the expectation of receiving an unopened product. I haven't had any problems with the microwave, but the experience above has left me with a cautious feeling about BUY.COM.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!

I ordered an external hard drive from buy.com and before it even arrived I received one of their promotional e-mails offering the item at a lower price ---over $60 lower.
When I contacted them they refused to give me the lower price due to their "policies". When it arrived I will return it even though they have a 15% restocking fee. I could order at the new price and still save some money on the original price but I refuse to buy anything again from buy.com
Final note, they have no phone # to call. All their communications are via email.

I paid extra for second day delivery. It actually took three days. This is denied by Buy.Com. I require a refund of the extra shipping cost as a matter of honor doing business when a "contract" is not fulfilled. They were happy to take my money for a servce not provided. Now I want that part of my funds refunded. Otherwise I really have no complaint, at this time.

I did not receive shipment at all. I tried to truck the order on-line and did not shpw any status any shipment. I need to wait 13 business days to claim lost shipment and maybe get my money after one month waiting period. Feel bad!

received 10% coupon and it doesn't work. Saying already used when in fact haven't been used so the coupon check against email address the coupon emailed out to is a joke. As far a tracking/inventory, I still have order "sent to warehouse" status from 2 years ago even though they didn't have the items in stock. Not sure why they didn't just cancel/remove the order and update the status.
