Buy.com won't honor the rebate!

I bought a 2GB SD card from Buy.com which in January, was advertised as "Free after $50 rebate". Actually the retail price of this SD card was much higher than similar items in market at that time, and the brand was not well-known. But because Buy.com used to have quite good reputation, and the SD card was Free after rebate, I bought it for $50.
Now 6 months after that, the rebate has still not been paid. The manufacturer disappeared and Buy.com refused to honor the rebate.
It was horrible experience. I will not shop at Buy.com anymore.

Double Charged and their Customer Service won't resolve

I was double charged by Buy.com, after following instructions on their website. I'm sure that Buy.com is a great website as long as nothing goes wrong with your order, but if you have to deal with their customer service department BEWARE!
They send form responses to emails (which I don't think they bothered to read) and on the phone, they don't actually listen to what you are saying, even the supervisors would not actually listen to what I said. If their computer doesn't show it, it can't be true, conversation over.
I would highly recommend avoiding Buy.com for their customer service. If anything ever goes wrong, you are up a creek without a paddle.

Beward products being sold beyond expiration date.

When I received the twin pack of HP printer ink I'd ordered, I noticed it had already expired 4 months prior to my order. I asked them if I could exchange it for current product. I didn't hear back from them except to receive a mailing label via email; no instructions, no explanation, nothing. But, I was busy preparing for a trip to Germany so I printed the label and returned the ink. A few weeks later, I received another package.
I was dumbfounded to find they'd sent me another twin pack of ink that was even older than the one I'd returned.
Buy.com is a convenient way to buy things but be cautious when ordering something that has an expiration date.

Super Fast Shipping at no charge! Awesome.......

Fast Shipping Period! Applied for a charge card to get another $25 bucks off the computer on a Sunday, by the following Friday with no extra shipping charges, the computer arrived at my door. One word Awesome! Not sure if I just got lucky or they may have their act together but I would order from them again!

Don't buy from this site!!!!!!!!!! They have terrible customer service! I only wish I would have seen these other reviews-I would have never wasted my time. If you want automated responses, no phone numbers to call, and super long delays-these are your guys! I will never, ever buy anything from this site again!!!!!!!!!

Don't get your hopes up!

I was very upset when this company let me place an order for a product they didn't have in stock. That is unfair and misleading. If they do not have the item in stock, they need to list it as "out-of-stock" and let people ask to be notified when you do have them in stock. Instead of letting them place orders and wait for a product they are not going to receive. They almost ruined my son's Christmas by leading me believe they were going to sell me a product that they disn't even have in stock!

Camera shipped very next day, but sender reqested a return before the item is delivered

I ordred Sony cybershot TX1 camera from buy.com, they shipped it through their affiliate J&R Music/Computer World, i got an e-mail next day that the item is shipped with a UPS tracking no. And when I started to track the item, UPS website said, the item is returned to the sender, J&R Music/Computer World, on their request.
When I calle the J&R Music/Computer World's toll free number, i kept on getting busy tone for more than an hour. But when i finally got connected, the customer svc rep said, it a mistake on their part, and once the item is back to them, they will ship it the next day. Now what should I do, other than just wait.
I'm still waiting, will write a review again when I recieve the item. Very frustrating experience with Buy.com and their affiliates.

I will never shop at Buy.com again

I placed an order on 9/9/08. One of the products I purchased they claimed were out of stock and they cancelled my order. This is after I had purchased accessories for that item. I checked their site and noticed that the product is still being offered on their site at the same price. When I contacted them suggesting they remove the offer from their site if they can't deliver, they copied and pasted their original reply to me of We apologize for the inconvenience. I am still waiting for the other product I purchased. After/if I receive the other product, I will never purchase from Buy.com again and tell as many people as I can to do likewise.

They're good if you don't care when you get what you ordered. But God help you if something goes wrong, because Buy.com's customer service people sure won't.
Buy.com's customer service is unreachable (I had to Google them to get a phone number; and that number was no longer in service - even Directory Assistance didn't have a number for them.)
I'm still waiting for a package that should have arrived today, because that is what I PAID FOR.
Absolutely terrible. Never again.

I have placed numerous orders with buy.com over the last few years and found them to be reliable.
However, I have just had a negative experience with them. It seems like they mangled my shipping address and tried to ship an order to me without a street name and number ( Suite 113, Boca Raton is not a valid address ).
The shipment could not be delivered and was returned to them. I have had a great deal of difficulty in handling this. They seem to want to avoid any kind of live communication at all costs and if you don't fit into their standard categories:
- lost shipment
- short shipment
- damaged shipment
then they don't know how to handle the situation. They just emailed me to say that they were going to credit my Amex card but based on the posts of other reviewers I may have a battle on my hands ( "we will credit" is not the same as "we have credited" ).
I will definitely be looking at other options from now on.

buy.com doesn't care about customer service

placed order thru google checkout for a memory card, initial 'tracking' showed it shipped the next day, but the tracking number provided worked on neither fedex's or usps' sites. after a week, there were two other clickable tracks using the same number, all traveling different places across the country (none of which near me). Called buy.com to find out what was going on, they had no clue, said they would submit a claim and it would take 3-5 business days to get back to me. During that time they refused to talk about the item until the 5 business days had passed. It's painfully obvious that they weren't doing anything at all during this time, it was a stalling tactic to 'wait and see what happens' it is now 6 business days later, and over 2 weeks since I initially placed the order and still no word from buy.com. I would recommend everyone to stay far away from buy.com. My girlfriend had a similar problem with an order accidentally improperly placed, she tried to cancel just over an hour later and they said they couldn't do it, even though the item didn't ship till 3 days later. AVOID buy.com.

I bought an Item on Buy.com because they had the lowest price but they offered a lower one for 1st time google checkout shoppers which they would not honor after a few emails exchanged they sent me an email saying "We suggest that you contact Google regarding the $10 discount." This is inexcusable behaver by them. As a former customer service rep I know I would have very possibly lost my job with an response as cold as that. Even if Google fixes it I will never shop with them again!

Deceptive shipping charges

Buy.com's so called free shipping is very deceptive. When I submitted my order for a Canon printer, no mention of shipping costs was stated since it qualified for free shipping. Not until the acknowledgement was e-mailed to me did the $19.00 shipping charge appear. If you want to cancel the order, it must be done within 30 minutes of submission of the order. From now on, it's buy elsewhere.com.

Wont shop at Buy.com again

Another sucker for the Buy.com/Connect3D rebate fiasco. Ultimately, Connect3D is responsible for their own rebates, but Buy.com apparently contacted "all" of the affected users and gave them $10 gift certs. I was an affected user and got squat. Apparently their database didn't spit my name out. It's for that reason, not Connect3D's inability to give rebates that I will no longer shop at Buy.com. "All" their customers doesn't really mean ALL their customers. Great for the people they contacted, bummer for the rest of us. So long, Buy.com, there are plenty of players in the online shopping game.

I paid extra for second day delivery. It actually took three days. This is denied by Buy.Com. I require a refund of the extra shipping cost as a matter of honor doing business when a "contract" is not fulfilled. They were happy to take my money for a servce not provided. Now I want that part of my funds refunded. Otherwise I really have no complaint, at this time.

I did not receive shipment at all. I tried to truck the order on-line and did not shpw any status any shipment. I need to wait 13 business days to claim lost shipment and maybe get my money after one month waiting period. Feel bad!

received 10% coupon and it doesn't work. Saying already used when in fact haven't been used so the coupon check against email address the coupon emailed out to is a joke. As far a tracking/inventory, I still have order "sent to warehouse" status from 2 years ago even though they didn't have the items in stock. Not sure why they didn't just cancel/remove the order and update the status.
