Pros: Convenient, wide and eclectic selection of items
Cons: I want to spend more money than I should....
Let me preface this by saying I have pretty eclectic tastes. Not everyone feels the need to buy lapis lazuli beads, ancient Roman coins or pretty Russian lacquer boxes, but, if you, like me, have such urges, Ebay is definitely the place for you.

Pros: User friendly navigation and registration, reasonable fees for listings, lots of options for listings, huge variety of items
Cons: occasionally off line for updates or repairs (not very frequent), credit card required for registration even if just as a buyer
