I am fortunate to live in the midst of several brick-and-mortar Jo-Ann stores. The stores are filled with merchandise to delight any crafter or sewers heart. I enjoy poking through the aisles filled with notions, beads and quilting goodies. So ...

I love crafts I mean LOVE them, but I hate going to my local Hobby Lobby. Why? Because the people that work there are well.....rear ends to put it nicely. And seems like every time I go there are no people working at the checkouts- so it makes me tempted ...

Pros: This is a crafters paradise. Good for all skill levels. Cons: They don't carry cake decorating supplies.
Wal Mart does not CUT IT as the local fabric and craft store. Unfortunately, Wal Mart did pick up enough business to put both local independent fabric stores under in this area. Now I can go to Wal Mart and buy very generic crafting items...

Joann is a site for things such as sewing and craft supplies. This site came to mind since I had previously shopped at the brick-and-mortar version of the store. Actually the brick-and-mortar store was mostly fabric so I was pleased to find a greater ...

I'm frequently sewing, so it's not unusual to find me creeping through the aisles at a JoAnn Fabrics store, usually with a child or three in tow, begging "Mommy will be just ONE minute more." While part of me thinks it's strange that it's taken me ...

There are people out there who love Wal-Mart. I do not. It is a necessary evil in my life being basically the only store in town with the exception of the designer outlets all the people from Massachusetts like to shop at. Me, I end up ...

I’m not sure what’s come over me, but lately I’ve been in a crafting mood. It must be the overcast weather encouraging me to stay home curled up on the couch with a small, quasi-artsy project spread out on the coffee table and the hot beverage of my ...

Pros: Great place to find hard-to-find craft and fabric items. Cons: It's limited to those who have access to the Internet, but who doesn't!
Where do you go for great deals on fabric and craft items in your hometown? Being that Jo-Ann Fabrics and Crafts is a national corporation, I wouldn't be surprised if there's a Jo-Ann nearby many of you here on Epinions. It just so happens I am an...

Do you love crafts? I do! I do a variety of crafts, and have been in charge of crafts for our church summer camp for several years. There are very few good crafts stores in our town, mainly Michael's and JoAnn Crafts, and they are both 25 miles away. ...

Pros: Everything you could ever want for sewing or crafting, and more... Cons: Can't actually touch the material so you can't feel the weight or texture
This is the most wonderful store that a 'real world' store has created. A lot of stores don't make the transition to online 'etailer', but Joann seems to have succeeded at it. Let's shop there and help keep them in business!
