I Find More Money In My Couch Cushions...

by caconti Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 500, Jul 09 '00
Pros: None
Cons: A Dried Up Well...
The Concept

The idea behind Moneyformail is simple and extremely common these days. It pays members a commission, reportedly $.20-2.50, for each of the advertiser e-mails that they read and lick through. Follow the link and earn big...

MoneyForMail: Where's the mail?

by PacBayStat , Jun 21 '00
Pros: Chance to make extra $$, all you have to do is read email
Cons: They ask for alot of personal info, including SSN
I signed up for MoneyForMail hoping, like everyone else, that I would make some extra cash.

I've joined a couple of other paid to read email programs, YoYo mail is one of them and in the short time I've been doing that I've received 9 or 10...

Money4mail.com -All puffery, no substance, minimal pay.

by driver4t5 Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 500, Jun 19 '00
Pros: Ease of operation, no spam.
Cons: Virtually no messages and as a result totally ineffective.
I read an aricle on CNBC.COM that largely disparaged pay-to-surf programs, yet lavished high praise on Moneyformail.com. I decided that since I spent a lot of time surfing, I should look into this. The writer made it sound like it was the Second...

by caroleg Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 1000, Jul 18 '00
Pros: Great concept
Cons: So - where's my new money-making mail?
What a concept! With moneyformail.com, you get paid to read ads based on information that you are interested in reading about. How cool is that? Great – if it works.

In a nutshell - MoneyForMail.com pays cash to members who volunteer to...

What money?? What mail??

by Chadh27 , Jan 11 '00
Pros: NONE
Cons: EVERYTHING
I joined several of these money for mail programs. I figured the more e-mail I got, the more money I would receive. Well, a month has gone by and only two of the programs have sent any e-mail. Combined together a total of 4. I believe this gives me a...

What Money?

by aliante , Nov 09 '00
Pros: Offer big pay
Cons: Do not keep their word, send too few e-mails
Being interested in earning money online I've tried almost all the companies including the one in question. In one month that has passed since I joined this company - MoneyforMail - I have got just only five emails. It is not much and of course I was...

Don't give them your social security number

by DavidWeisman , Mar 28 '00
Pros: none
Cons: the whole shebang
The concept here is great. You get sent e-mail advertising and get paid for reading it. It's this particular program that is bottom of the barrel.

The sign up is rather long and nosy, and this is the only web freebie program I've signed up...

What Money, What Mail

by pokemonsick , Nov 10 '00
Pros: Decent Money Can Be Made
Cons: Not Enough Mail Actually Sent
I signed up for Money For Mail, like everyone else hoping to make a little extra cash. At first I thought this was going to be great! In the first week of membership I received 5 clearly marked money for mail e-mails to click to the link and read for...

No Money for Mail

by serena21 , Jul 05 '00
Pros: Get paid for Spam
Cons: Not enough mail
The funniest thing happened to me this evening. I was sifting through my junk mail account and I came across this thing from Money4mail.com. I had to sit and think about what it was for a minute or two and then I realized. Back in January I signed up for...

They never send me mail

by avi1020 , Dec 02 '99
Pros: money
Cons: takes forever to get email, money accumulates very slowly
You read email. Why not get paid for it? What’s the problem? Ill tell you what the problem is, emails are worth barely anything and I they rarely come at all.
They make you fill out a form that may take a few minutes. They ask you for your social...

Honey, Have you seen the Postman Lately?

by sj1and0 Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 500, Nov 20 '00
Pros: An E-mail Incentive Program that pays you to receive e-mails
Cons: E-mails come about once every 3 months
So many of the internet e-mail programs that offer you an incentive for joining their program and receiving e-mails have been so not fake, but slow in sending the expected quantity of e-mails I would've liked to have received. And out of those, only...

Get Paid To Read Emails...Check This Out

by hwz1 Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 50, Dec 02 '99
Pros: None
Cons: They never send ads, pay out is small
Money For Mail is a company that pays you $.20 for every email that you click through. They will send you an ad and then you click on the link.

To begin with, you will fill out a form telling Money For Mail your likes and dislikes,...

Free Weekly Soda!

by Chuck_Hansen , Dec 13 '99
Pros: Well, they do what they say they will.
Cons: They just don't do enough of it to make it worth the time and effort.
Get money for reading ads? Somebody's going to pay me to read spam? What a concept! Too bad that reality doesn't measure up to the hype this time.

Anyone with much of an interest in the web freebie genre should soon realize that unsolicited...

"I'm Waitin'...Where's the Mail?"

by RidgesMom1 , Mar 30 '00
Pros: If you do get mail, you will get paid; you do receive payment from referrals; easy navigation on site; when you log in, you are greeted "Hello!"
Cons: Rarely any mail to read, will probably be in my "Golden Years" before I have enough money to warrant a check being sent!
In some cases, I choose not to read the other reviews in categories I feel strongly about - this is one of those categories. However, judging by the titles of the majority of the opinions on MoneyforMail, I'm probably echoing the same sentiments.

Your personal information will be used against you

by 4-1-1 Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 50, Jul 19 '00
Pros: Nothing positive to say, appears to be a scam
Cons: You grant others access to your social security number and your credit reports
This is an absolutely horrible program and is designed, from the start, to prey on ignorant websurfers who are new to money making opportunities.

Don’t you believe that you will get money for reading emails from this program. It is designed to...
