Pros: Good for the airlines to fill their planes Cons: Horrible customer service, unflexible travel, airlines can't help you with problems
The concept behind Priceline.com sounds good when Shatner rambles on about it in the commercials, but don't be fooled. Unless you're lucky, you will find Priceline.com to be a total waste of money.
Using Priceline.com, you vaguely select a...

Pros: some cheap tickets Cons: not that cheap
I can't help it. I'm a closet trekkie --- so as soon as I hear the voice of the erstwhile Captain Kirk my ears strain toward the television. Yet, even love of all thinks trek can't make me love the drek that is priceline.
Reportedly...

Pros: Shatner's wig stays on in the commercials Cons: In my opinion, yes
Priceline.com for airline tickets is not for me. I recently purchased tickets from them and was very disappointed. For someone who knows what they are doing, it probably works very well. For an unseasoned traveller like me, it didn't.
I know it's...

Pros: Great prices, Have a small amount of control over the flights. Cons: No choice of airlines, connecting cities, FF miles or Elite Segments.
First off, so you don't have to read this entire article, Priceline is not for the people looking to travel somewhere for 1 night, those that must go non-stop, or those that cannot take a flight before 12 pm. The whole key to Priceline is being flexible...

Pros: If you name your price, and the computer gets it right, it's worth it. Cons: Bad customer service, and a horrible method for making changes.
On the surface, Priceline.com seems like a great idea. Name your price, and they will either accept or reject your price within in the hour. We place orders on-line for the convenience, but this company has only been a disservice to me.
I...

Pros: Not really any I can think of.... Cons: Prices much higher than available through non-online sources.
Last May, I I had my one and only experience with priceline.com.
One of my wife's best friends from her school days was finally getting married and she needed a ticket to go to the wedding (Thank God I had some excuse or another and didnt get...

Pros: Innovative service that puts the consumer n charge Cons: Potential for price manipulation through recommendation for bids for a given good or service
The strategy behind Priceline is an example of the internet at its' best. By using the power of instant communication, consumers are able to get goods and services at lower prices than they would be able to get otherwise.
For those of you...

Pros: Excellent service Cons: MUST Buy tickets if they find them
I think priceline.com is a great service. I wanted to go to take my husband to Philadelphia to surprise him. I wanted to take him to his sister's last basketball game of her collage career. It was very important to him, so I investigated different...

Pros: They have great rates to many major cities Cons: They don't have enough great deals to go around to those of us who fly to less than major cities
I have tried Priceline once, just to make a trip up to Syracuse, NY to visit my parents. It was actually my mom that gave me the idea. When I put my bid in, I was a little curious about what they would say. I tried it a second time after I didn't get the...

Pros: Save Money, Stay in Nice Hotels Cons: Non-Refundable, Can't Choose Room Type
If you've stayed in "the City" lately, you know that decent hotels are incredibly expensive. You're lucky if you can find a room for under $200 if you want a good location. And it's even more difficult to decide where to stay if you're from...

Pros: I wish I could think of one! Cons: It is quite easy to fall into a trap.
After two major car repairs two weeks in a row, our joint-wallet was down for the count. Naturally, this form of painfully bad car luck usually comes a short time before you need to travel and can't postpone the trip. That is what brought me to...

Pros: You choose time, airline, price, etc.. Cons: Flying is only marginally fun...on a good day.
For a while I was seduced by the last minute airfare thing, just as I was once drawn into the fantasy of becoming an air courier or maybe just picking up free rides on corporate jets by lounging in the right place at the right time.
But...

Pros: Slight chance of getting a good price on an airline ticket. Cons: No chance to back out. No way to clearly define desirable hours of flights. Promise of an answer in an hour are not truthful. Click that button and you're stuck.
How I wished I had checked epinions before I tried Priceline for an airline ticket! I'm sure it would have scared me away before it was too late.
As it was, I had researched a discounted ticket on a number of sites, but found no reasonable...

Pros: nice concept Cons: never got an offer accepted, unwanted expensive credit card
I have used priceline a few times in the past to try to get plane tickets and honestly I have to say that I have not been very impressed with them. I like the idea of it, but the practical implementation did not work.
The first time I used...
