The idea of naming your price is a wonderful concept. Unfortunately that is not the only step in this skewed version of a travel service.
When I travel, or buy anything of value for that matter, I do a LOT of internet research before I commit...

Pros: cost effective Cons: have to compromise some -sometimes
My younger sister first informed me of how this service works and how great it was. I decided to check it out.
I recently used Priceline.com to purchase an airline ticket for my roommates mother to visit during Christmas of this year. I know...

Pros: None that I can think of. Cons: Not the cheapest, agree to travel w/o flight times, rude employees
I used Priceline once and will never use it again. You have to agree to buy the tickets before you know the times you will be travelling. I ended up leaving at 9:55 p.m. and arriving at my destination at 2:00 a.m. The savings was only $50 which was not...

Pros: Quick response time, easy to use Cons: A little scary since you have no control
After seeing the fifteen billion ads and hearing great stories from friends about Priceline.com, we decided to see if we could get our airline reservations to California for a lower price. The price United had quoted on their site when we had looked was...

Pros: Great deals possible Cons: Fly when THEY want you to.
Never has that warning been more appropriate! You must, repeat-MUST read all of the fine print when using Priceline.com. Make sure that you know what you are getting into before making a bid. Be aware that there are also additional charges added on to...

Pros: can save a few dollars on a ticket if you go through several hoops.. Cons: unpredictable..
I have purchased tickets through Priceline twice. I only saved money because of signing up for one of their offers through their sponsors that they invite you to do right before you buy your ticket but after you tell them your flight details. ...

Pros: got tickets Cons: everything, it is slow to process info
Priceline.com is very resourceful and effective, but the time it takes to process everything feels like a lifetime. I wanted to book two tickets to Europe on Priceline.com and it took me over an hour and I know how to use a computer and didn't mess up...

Pros: Cheaper tickets for flexible passengers with time Cons: Will inconvenience you in order to save you money
1. Realize that you will incur taxes of about $40-- this surprises many people after they purchase their ticket.
2. You need to be willing to travel at odd hours. If for any reason you cannot fly relatively early in the morning (6AM) or...

Pros: Cust service responded after my letter to company president. Cons: User should understand definition of "off-peak" before choosing it. It is only briefly defined on the site.
This is the followup to my complaint "priceline: off-peak -- dishonest, evasive and non-responsive" in which I received a ticket for departure the day after I requested.
On 5/15 I sent a copy of the message I posted here to company...

Sept. 24, 2007, I was priceshopping for Sept. 30th 2007 for my cousin and he couldn't decide between Michigan or California flight destinations. We checked priceline, having had better prior experience, and we were given an options page. For a cheaper ...

Pros: Cheapest tickets you will find Cons: flight times may be unpredictable
I had a last min. chance to fly back to New York from Los Angeles. I wanted to see some old friends, and catch up. I knew that air prices were high so I almost didn't even look into it.
I checked the usual sites for individual airlines and a...

Pros: cheaper rates Cons: you will be lucky if your tickets are there for you
I have used Priceline.com many times, and the service is going downhill quickly. I have written epinions praising priceline in the past, but things have changed. I recently had to go to Dallas, Texas on business, and booked my flight through priceline....

Pros: Low fares, Easy to Search Cons: Getting your ticket
Priceline.com is one of the best sources around for low fares. Espeically if you want to travel soon. When trying to book a ticket home from Rochester, NY (one of the most expensive airports in the US), I was able to find a round trip ticket for as low...

Pros: Save a lot of money. Cons: Might have to fly out of airports far from home, sit in seats next to the bathroom.
I decided at the last minute (3 weeks before) that I wanted to fly from Albany, NY to Pensacola, FL to visit my sister. I searched every single online ticketing site on the internet. The cheapest round trip ticket I could find on Travelocity was $876. I...

Pros: Great Prices if You're Patient Cons: Having to be Patient
I have used PriceLine.com on six occasions. (Obviously not a candidate for Frequent Flier Miles.) Truth is I have never booked flights for myself. But I do for others. (Namely for my son and his better half when the idea strikes me) That in itself...
