I ordered PhotoStamps in early May to give as a gift to my mom for Mother's Day. Unfortunately, after I ordered these stamps it became apparent they would not arrive until after Mother's Day. I went to the site to see if I could cancel my order. No such ...

Pros: none Cons: poor software
I've used Stamps.com off and on for about 1 year now. I run into trouble often with the software freezing up and the postage not printing properly. In order to obtain credit for postage that doesn't print you have to go through too much for the supposed...

Stamps.com sucks. I own a computer store and we sell a lot of products online. Hiding the postage amount, the convenience of preparing several packages and the price are all perfect. Unfortunately, the software will lock up and freeze. We had it on ...

DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT SIGNING UP! It's cheaper to go buy a scale. If you go beyond the "No-Risk Trial," they will not only charge you for the next month but for the "Trial period" as well. I signed up thinking I would give it a shot. Turns out you ...

I have been a faithful user of Stamps.com for about three years. It is a handy little gimmick but as others have said, you're paying an additional $11 for the sheets you print on PLUS the monthly service fees. Here's the kicker though and the reason ...

I have been a repeat customer with stamps.com, partly because their start up kit is worth something (free scale, free postage) and partly because I couldn't find a replacement equally easy to use (tried endicia.com and it worked but it took me longer to ...

Beware of their 30 Day Trial ... they're happy to simply take your money ... When approached by stamps.com, I was just starting up a business and was anticipating doing a lot of direct marketing, and therefore a lot of mailing. This seemed like a ...

STAY AWAY FROM STAMPS.COM! They are complete swindlers. I joined for the start-up deal of free postage(I had my own scale). I kept the service for 2 months & tried to cancel. The other review stated cancellation was easy, well that was not the ...

Don't use this company. Any company that makes it incredibly difficult for you to cancel their service is operating on a nearly fraudulent business model. Those good folks who love Stamps.com obviously haven't tried to cancel their service. They ...

My issues with the company are these: Several days passed before I received my welcome kit. It was only then that I could begin to evaluate the services. However, more days were not allotted to me despite that fact that I had to wait for the kit to ...

Hi, Add me to the long list of unhappy customers. I bought into the BS and signed up. For a $ 5.00 shipment I have now paid over $ 63.00 for the "right" to buy postage. So in June I signed up. In July I cancelled because it didn't seem like ...

I like Stamps.com. It's very convenient and is not overpriced if you use it frequently enough, as in a small to mid-sized business. You can print postage for just about anything, even certified and return receipt (though you do have to have the ...

Incredibly lousy software only leads to waste of time and money
by jsuen ,Sep 25 '04
The stamps.com software is absolutely lousy, and they simply blame it on post office requirements. Every version results in more and more problems.
The latest version prints envelopes on maximum resolution: they claim it is a post office requirement. Not only does this waste ink, it prints on photo-quality on an envelope, resulting in smearing. Their ridiculous requirment only makes things worse. When I complained, tech support said that I should not use a photo-quality printer--basically any new inkjet! Not only that, it took tech support calls and a secret menu to get envelopes to print right on a HP Deskjet 5650! This is the most popular printer sold! Word prints fine!
Don't waste your time and money. Ten hours in line at the post office equals the time you waste with stamps.com

not worth it....
by b757gal ,Jan 16 '08
You not only pay for stamps but pay a monthly fee of 21.99. Unless you use a lot of stamps. Probably not worth it. I tried to cancel the account and they wanted to charge me for an additional month. Then, in order to cancel the account, they wanted additional personal information. I would not use this service again.
