Horrible Terrible Painful shameful and Expensive
by pmceq ,Jan 30 '09
Refused to cancel after written letter, difficult to reimburse postage printed incorrectly must call India to cancel service no email cancellation no written letters, nothing but calling then they refuse to prorate anything except adding fees.
Terrible customer support questions answered after days.
Very Very Expensive.
You have to mail at least nearly 40 letters each and every month to hit the break even point where the service is worth it, then you add postage and it is so much easier and cheaper to go to the post office or get online and order stamps.
Be warned they will not make cancelling easy and will continue to charge your card!
Did I mention they want 15.99 per month but if you tell them your cancelling they offer the service at half off, what a scam.

Stamps.com customer service doesn't exist...
by bernbeck ,Dec 16 '08
I took the bait and thought I would try the offer...but never received a scale as they promised...no e-mails...just empty promises...by the time I noticed they were charging my CC and called to cancel...two billing cycles went by. Again...never did I receive the merchandise promised and they only credited one cycle of $17.95. I'd give them zero stars...Never again...and I will leave negative feedback everywhere I can...

Poor experience & even worse customer service.
by mrenee03 ,Jan 26 '09
Save yourself the aggravation and DO NOT SUBSCRIBE TO STAMPS.COM. I signed up over a month ago, and entered my credit card information with the understanding that stamps.com would keep my info on file for future postage ordering. I just checked my bank statement and was charged an erroneous $17.99 - apparently I didn't read the extremely fine print. I would have never signed up had I known I would be charged a subscription fee. I was extremely dissatisfied with the product immediately after signing up - the number of suspicious hardware downloads was endless. The entire stamp-creation process seemed much more labor intensive than the website leads you to believe. I deleted everything related to stamps.com from my hard drive minutes after downloading. Upon noticing the charge, I called customer service and spoke to a very rude, patronizing young man. He was very unhelpful and told me absolutely nothing could be done. I do not recommend stamps.com to anyone. Save yourself the hassle and go to the post office yourself.

They seem to have a hard time letting go of customers.
by buffettphreak ,Feb 27 '07
I found after subscribing to this service that it simply wasn't what I needed. I called to cancel my subscription, and was assured that after the next billing cycle I would no longer be charged. I have been charged for three months since then. They have finally assured me that I will no longer be charged but will not refund the previous three months charges. Buyer beware.

Not worth it
by rosedutton ,Sep 27 '07
It's convenient but not worth the $15.99 a month. Customer service is nonexistent and they make it very hard for you to cancel. The shipping supplies they sell are way overpriced.

Nonexistent "Customer Service"
by tubetimes ,Jan 02 '06
I ordered PhotoStamps from Stamps.com, and one of my two orders never arrived. I was intending to use the stamps for my wedding announcements. I emailed and called the company many times, and each time was put off with a "keep waiting," or "once you receive the stamps, you can return them." It's remarkable to me that the company did not even try to help me with the delayed order. Two months after placing the order, I still don't have it, and Stamps.com considers the order "closed." What a rotten way of doing business. Please consider using a Stamps.com competitor for your photo stamps, or you could be the next to be disappointed and frustrated.

Stay away...stay far away...from this company.
by sandyavs ,May 06 '09
Stay away...stay far away...from this company. I was suckered into a free month, not realizing there was a $19.99 recurring monthly charge. Stupid me, but it took me 3 months to figure this out. In the meantime, I have now paid $60 for their service, and I didn't use it after the first time. This is a terrible product for the money you pay.
Furthermore, you can't cancel online but have to call a 800#, as they try to "talk you out of cancelling". It took me 4 "nos" before they finally agreed to cancel.

Charged for a "free" trial, bad customer service
by chriscom ,Jun 13 '05
My Stamps.com account started off fine. After receiving the welcome package in the mail I decided that for $16 I would just stay a member past my 30 day trial so I could receive $10 in free postage (on top of the $5 they give you during the trial) and a free scale. I wasn't using the service enough so I decided to cancel two months after I had started (remember though, there is a 30-day trial). I called and after waiting on hold for a very long time (around 15-20 minutes) I canceled my service. A week later I was surprised to see that I had been billed another $16. I called and again waited on hold for 15 minutes to ask why I was billed again. I was told by a very unfriendly representative that after the 30-day "free" trial, you are billed for that 30 days! This is the only service I've ever seen that makes you pay for a "free" trial. I feel that they were not up-front with this information. I do not recommend Stamps.com to anyone and I will not be using their service again.

UNETHICAL BUSINESS PRACTICES
by dtebh ,Sep 12 '05
Was an overpriced service until I just downloaded the new stamps.com update as required to continue using the service. My credit card now confirms that I just got charged 15.99 a month for the same service, up from the previous 4.49/mo charge. I find out now that I can only cancel by phone. 15 mins on hold and no answer, so I decieded to share my opinion about this POS company.
Unfortunately, I see all reviews here in the last few years are negative.
STAY AWAY.

Stamps.com are scam, ripoff artists
by tundrapie ,Oct 13 '05
Stamps.com is a scam. They are ripoff artists. First they began charging me for 2 accounts simultaneously. I looked into the service and decided that it was not for me. Did not realize that they were billing me indefinitely for 2 accounts. I never used the service nor did I ever recieve any of their giveaways, such as a free postage meter or free postage. When I finally realized that I was being charged on an ongoing basis & called to complain they initially said that I was entitled to no refund; next email had them crediting me for one account for $47.97; next email had me getting credit for the full amount (2 x $47.97). Then when I complained I'd only recieved one credit they told me that that was all I was eligible for!
Don't use them. If you can't trust their basic business practices then you cannot trust the company. Stamps.com is a ripoff. I've filed complaints with my local BBB and with my credit card company. I don't like being bilked.

WORLD CLASS SCAMMERS - DON'T USE THEM!
by masonsrfun ,Oct 16 '07
HORRIBLE Company!!!!!! DO NOT USE. DO NOT NOT NOT even try the first month free. It's not free! They will not let you cancel. You must call by phone and then you will either wait, be told the computer systems are down and to call back, or even worse, be told the account is closed, but continue to be billed. (ie. They tell you they close it but they don't.)

A RIP OFF - NO CUSTOMER SERVICE
by hogwilds ,May 11 '06
Stamps.com has done a better job of promoting themselves than endica, but there is no comparison in quality of service. I have used stamps.com for about 4 months.
1. You cannot print international postage without purchasing their overpriced stamp labels, requiring printing address labels, then going back and printing stamps.
2. The labels used for tracking is limited on stamps.com not endica.
3. THE WORST: They will not refund postage for 8-10 weeks and if you close your account in that period they just steal your money. I had an endica refund, it was back in my account in just over a week.
