Pros: It was free. It was a great site when it was free. Cons: Starting charging submission fees. Submissions drastically down!
With the institution of fees the submissions are drastically down. With less sellers comes less bidders.
I have a comparison sheet on some of the auction categories at: http://geocities.com/splashx/yahoo.htm
This was once a great site for...

Pros: No listing or final value fees for sellers. Buyers can often pick up a bargain cheaper than they could elsewhere. Cons: Not nearly as much traffic as eBay so less potential bidders to drive up the bids. Must list credit card even if only bidding.
I feel that Yahoo! Auctions are better for buyers than for sellers.
Yahoo! Auctions have less traffic making it easier for buyers to get a good deal on the items they are wishing to bid on.
I think Yahoo! Auctions work against...

Pros: Free Cons: Not as many people see auctions
I have tried many auction sites to see which best suit my needs as a personal seller not on a very high budget and I figured out I got the most for my money at Yahoo. Since it is completely free I did not lose any money. However, this is not ebay. You...

Pros: Easy to use and good site Cons: will always be compared to Ebay
Everyone knows that Ebay is the online auction king! Since it will probably impossible for any site to ever duplicate Ebay, I can't knock Yahoo's site. The good thing about yahoo's auction is that it's easier to bid on an item without worrying about...

Check out a yahoo auction item!
Don't be scared of them....they are not that hard to do...whether you are buying or selling.
I just won a yahoo auction that I started bidding on last week for a Web Tv. I don't do auctions alot-this...

Pros: Free listings Cons: too many deadbeats, no customer service
I used to list on yahoo.com cause it was free. Well after listing, and having sales, and then no payment being made by buyers I got fed up. You can only tolerate so many deadbeat bidders. Then on top of that Yahoo dont do anything about it. ...

Pros: Find anything Cons: Use at your own risk!
Yahoo auctions is great, I use them a lot but there should always be caution about who You are dealing with. They are complete strangers. I somes rather go with a company such as, Bid.com. Yahoo is nice and you can usauully find some great things. I...

Pros: good prices, easy to use, good notification system Cons: sometimes things get overpriced
I've found Yahoo! Auctions to be quite good. I seem to find better deals there than I do at eBay, where things often become much more expensive than is practical. I've gotten some great deals on things, like a like-new leather coat for only $20. I'm...

Pros: free, lots of products, fast site, Cons: better auctions on Ebay, abused reserved prices
Yahoo is a great internet auction site. It is a very fast site, and even has featured auctions to get people to notice the ones people are paying for. Other than the fact you can find better and cheaper products on Ebay.com, yahoo is free, trustworthy,...

Pros: Cheaper than ebay Cons: Not as many viewers, less support
I've really tried. I try to find a bargain on Yahoo, but
I can't
I hate their search engine (which has improved over the last few months, I admit, but it's still bad.) When you finally get a listing somewhat similar to what you were

Pros: easy, simple to use, friendly sellers Cons: there aren't any
I have been buying off of Yahoo Auctions for about 4 months now. I think the way they do things there is very easy to understand. You get a lot of options and you can check out the credibility of a seller before you buy. Ebay is a good auction site, but...

Pros: It's FREE!!! Cons: Not enough info on HTML writing needed for listing your items.
Yahoo's auction site is the best auction site I have found. Not only do you get great features like your own auction booth, but you can sell merchandise for FREE. Ebay does do a better job of informing you of how to write the HTML needed to list your...

I'm not selling on Yahoo anymore! Too many times have I've contacted buyers and they fail to respond and send payment! That didn't bug me back when Yahoo had free listings. I just went ahead and relisted it hoping someone else would get it. Sometimes I...
