Pros: low cost Cons: copy of ebay, but so what
Yahoo has done it again!
This auction site is the best thing since ebay! After all they got the ideas from ebay, but they have definitely improved upon it. I just found out that they will start charging people to list on Yahoo Auctions. This...

Pros: make money Cons: spend more money
Hey ,Yahoo Auctions really work for me!! I love it!! No Fees and I can almost always get in.
They may not be as big as others, but it's easier to search for that automotive gizmo you always wanted. Buying items that I've found are less $$ than...

Pros: fast, easy, user friendly, good sellers, good buyers, reliable, many topics Cons: none
Well do you? You sure should. Auctions.yahoo.com is a great way to find what you are looking for. Or, if you want to sell something even easier. You just sign up and you are able to sell right away. Buyers and sellers are extremely reliable and...

Pros: Cheaper than ebay Cons: Not as many viewers, less support
I've really tried. I try to find a bargain on Yahoo, but
I can't
I hate their search engine (which has improved over the last few months, I admit, but it's still bad.) When you finally get a listing somewhat similar to what you were

Pros: More lenient than Ebay Cons: Still, some people blow your orders off. But thats not the site's fault.
It appears that the only auction sites that have amounted to anything are Ebay and Yahoo! Auctions. There are surely more, but frankly, I haven't heard a word about them. I've used Ebay a few times and I admit that it's a great tool, and its got a huge...

Pros: Easy to use, Free "membership" Cons: Now charging to post your auctions
I used to love going on Yahoo Auctions. They had a great selection, it was easy to use, but most of all, it was free for me to sell my items. No worries about needing a credit card number or anything. Then recently I revisited Yahoo Auctions to try...

At any given day you can find at least 50 Rolex watches for sale on Yahoo auctions. Everyone of these watches, if you look in the neighborhood watch, carries a violation of their terms of service. The sellers actually sell some of these watches, and, I ...

I have had a very good time hunting for coins or paper money on this site. I have always found the things I wanted to purchase, and won most all of my bids. Great site, I am thinking about having my own site here with...

Yahoo auctions doesn't come close to ebay. Yahoo's auction search feature is horrible, bringing back way too many results.
No one is selling anything good, probably because there are so few buyers.
If you're selling something,...

Good experiences good sellers and buyers
by dr_oldhen ,Oct 24 '03
Yahoo is a very nice place to look for many items. I found that some people really liked their stuff and started out with high prices. I didn't like their searchs so well because there were times it would take just part of one of my search words and come up with way too much 'junk' I was not interested in. I have gone back and forth from ebay to Yahoo. I like both.

Did not hide email address, spam, bogus auctions
by ncrdbl ,Jan 02 '05
When I was trying to buy a computer on Yahoo Auctions, it did not hide my email address. After I lost the auction, I got a few spoof mails that made it look like I won the auction.
I also found the Yahoo Auction site was not as well visited as eBay, so f you are selling do not expect to get as much traffic for your item.
There were also some bogus auctions that looked very similar to spam emails "Free computers, etc...".

AWFUL
by lindsey34378 ,Jul 16 '05
I had a awful experience. I would never shop though this place again. I did not get item I paid 700.00 for. Yahoo never wrote me back about the problem. The seller who scamed me still sells to this day.

No customer(buyer) consideration.
by rhind95688 ,Apr 29 '05
I have "won" three laptops on Yahoo Auctions and have yet to ever see any of them. Money orders lost in the mail, replacement money was too late to have the "deal" honored. I traced my money orders with no help at all from Yahoo Auctions, got my money back (but alas no computers). I used PayPal on another Yahoo Auction ( I learned my lesson about money orders and checks) and Yahoo Auctions will not give me a real name or address or phone number to contact the seller who was paid but is "anonymous". I "won" other Yahoo auctions only to have the auction cancelled without recourse. The prices are cheaper than on ebay but costly when you never see the item you bought. A buyer is not a consideration at Yahoo Auctions--my rating is $#%^$@#$ bad.
