Pros: Free Auction site, lower priced items than other auction sites Cons: could be costly if one "FEATURES" items for long periods of time
I have been a regular for about 5 months at Yahoo. I have found it MUCH easier to navigate than other auction sites, even LARGE auction sites.
Being a free auction, it is definately affordable to list items. The only cost I have found so...

Pros: As a Seller, ease of listing and choices in managing your ads. Cons: Recent fees attached to selling. No longer free.
Once upon a time posting an ad on Yahoo was free, making possible the ability to sell your extra items and reap pure profit. No more. They now charge to place an ad. That in itself wouldn't be so bad if the service they offered was top notch, but it...

Pros: Free to use, Good customer service Cons: You have to have a credit card to validate for PayDirect or Wallet before you can be a seller now.
I have been using Yahoo! Auctions to buy and sell for a little over a year now. I used eBay before that but only to buy.
I prefer Yahoo! over the other auction sites that I have used or looked over. My main reason is that they don't charge...

Pros: Nice layout, Secure and easy to use. Cons: I've had bad experiences selling and no one paying.
I have been a huge fan of Yahoo for quite some time now. Every day of the week I hit a part of their portal at least 10-15 times. Most recently I looked into Yahoo auctions to try to get rid of some of my collectables.
Cosmetics: ...

Pros: FREE! Buy price, automatic relisting Cons: Must verify a credit card; low traffic
I've been an avid user of eBay auctions since discovering the concept in March of this year. As is common, I began my descent into the world of online auctions by bidding on a small ticket item. I won with my bid, and the rest is history! After a couple...

Pros: No cost for posting auction listings Cons: Seems more like a classified ad / retail listing
I have periodically looked at Yahoo auctions for various items, and I have never really found anything I wanted at a price I thought was good. I have found several reasons for this. As for picking out the root cause, its like the "What came first,...

Pros: None. Cons: Seller doesn't have to sell item, even without a reserve price.
You are the highest bidder, there is no reserve price, the auction ends. You have a new laptop, right? Wrong. The Seller can cancel an auction at any time - including in the final few seconds.
There is no penalty for a seller canceling...

Pros: FREE; Good features for the novice Cons: Very light traffic; few buyers (or sellers since there is no one to buy)
One would think with Yahoo's reputation and user statistics there was another Microsoft empire on the horizon. Having done some selling and buying on Yahoo, as well as eBay, I believe I am good situation to speak of it's strengths and weaknesses. ...

Pros: Free to buyers Cons: not free anymore, search engine needs work
I updated this description. Read below where it starts with "***". I did this because Yahoo now charges sellers. Yahoo Auctions is good for listing everything you own that you want to sell. You can sell anything you want to on Yahoo Auctions for free. I...

Pros: free to post auctions!! Cons: not as many ppl, so not as much exposure
I was an ebay addict for a while, I would bid and bid and bid the day away. Then I decided to start selling things. I looked into Yahoo and decided hands down that Yahoo was the way to go. I have posted 20 auctions on Yahoo and 18 of them have sold....

Pros: Free, Easy to use Cons: Don't know who you're buying from, Alot of bidders refuse to pay
Well, for starters, Yahoo is completely free, so how can you really complain? The only thing that really angers me about it, is how good these auctions were when they were under the ownership of Onsale.com... Then Onsale quit doing person to person...

Pros: Free Cons: Not many sellers
I've been a seller on Ebay for over 2 years now. I now sell on Ebay full time. In the past 2 years I've also sold on Yahoo on and off. There really is no comparison.
Fees:
Yahoo - free! No fees unless you feature your...

Pros: Cheap, easy, bidder selective Cons: Rife with deadbeat bidders, many deadbeat sellers
Yahoo's auction site could have been as good as ebay's. It had the ability to deliver traffic, a decent interface and the ability to deliver sellers. It had problems with deadbeat bidders and sellers, but those problems could have been...

Yahoo *was* one of the "Big Three" online auction sites on the net. The other two being eBay and Amazon. Of course eBay is THE biggest by a large margin but up until recently Yahoo had been closing the gap. Yahoo did not charge...

Pros: Great Notification System Via Email Cons: Bidding Against Anonymous Bidders is VERY Frustrating
The Yahoo Auction is one that I really enjoy using because it is so easy. With Yahoo Auctions, you can register for certain key worded items and have emails sent to you every day when those items are registered.
The ease of having my...
