Pros: It's Free Cons: Hard to navigate through site
I have visited the Yahoo auctions several times though I still cannot figure out that site as well. It seems to be quite hard to navigate through and find what you are looking for.
I know one transaction I made I was supposed to leave...

Pros: There's not as much competition as eBay Cons: There's not as many buyers as eBay
Yes, it's true that Yahoo auctions lack some of the diversity that you can find through eBay, but the cool thing is that at Yahoo you can list items for free! That's very important since you probably wouldn't be selling an item if you didn't need the...

Pros: none Cons: everything
I have sold on Yahoo auctions for the past couple of years. When I received an email from them stating they are enacting fees January 10th I was floored.
Then, I saw their new fee rates, 20¢ to $2.25 per listing. Are second graders doing the...

Pros: NONE now that they charge$$$$$ Cons: not really good for sellers
Both auctions sites can be good, for both buyers and sellers. Here's what I think of both.
Yahoo: Low bidder traffic, it's great for buyers(if you can find what your looking for). Less traffice means you are more likley to win the item...

Pros: Easy to Use, Less hassle and controversy Cons: Smaller service so bidding can be slow
Yahoo Auctions just seemed more useable than EBay. It seemed that every week there was a new horror story of some scandal, scam, or security breach at EBay. Therefore, we decided to go with a smaller auction but one which seemed more free of hassles and...

Pros: "sell price" a great option eBay doesn't offer, buy items with just one bid at low price, no listing or commission fees Cons: have to start auctions at a high price because they usually don't get many bids, have to submit credit card info if you sell items, selection not as big as ebay's
There's a dozen or so online auction sites out there. eBay's the best, no question, Yahoo comes in second. Yahoo's auction site is very similar to eBay - great design and layout, easy to read and navigate, search engines help you find really specific ...

Pros: Ease to use, good prices Cons: Yahoo pay direct
I visited Yahoo! Auctions for first time about 6 months ago. I was looking for a lighter I liked and a friend told me to try this online auction service or ebay.
With some doubts about those kind of services I first entered to Ebay and...

Pros: Because listing is free, it's great for low-value cards Cons: Sparse traffic lowers your chance of getting good bids on more valuable cards
As I've mentioned in a few previous Epinions, I collect sports cards. I've found some that I'd like to sell through auctions, and I was faced with a decision. Should I use Yahoo Auctions or eBay? Well, it turns out that there's no easy answer for me. It...

Pros: It's free and you don't have as many dealers as eBay. Cons: It's still growing, which means right now you can't find quite as much stuff as you can on eBay.
If you like to sell things on auction sites, Yahoo is definitely one you need to check out! It is very easy to use and best of all, it is free. The site lets you upload up to three pictures for your auction and the form is very easy to fill out. ...

Pros: Free and easy Cons: Less volume than e-bay
As my wife commented to me for the one-hundredth time, "I'm really tired of tripping over your bowling ball, laying around in the basement!" I won the ball in a charity auction and always had good intentions of using it, which, of course, has...

Pros: Truly Free Auctions Cons: None that I have found
Yahoo Auctions is a wonderful way to sell those items that you no longer use, but are still in good shape. And, to be able to do that from the comfort of your home, without placing ads in newspapers and hauling everything outside for a garage/yard sale,...

Pros: Fast purchases from individuals Cons: Must use US Mail to send most payments
Last November a friend sent me a link to this site via email to show me some of the model trains items that were on auction. I decided to give the service a try because many of the items I wanted for my set were there.
After only a few months,...

Pros: Free auction site Cons: Needs to attract more buyers/sellers
I am new to Yahoo auctions as a seller and a buyer. The best thing about Yahoo auctions is that it is FREE.
I started out by listing two items. It was easy to submit an item to be listed in the auction. You are able to upload up to 3...
