Pros: No buyer fees, no final value fees. Cons: Auction placement fees, very limited and diminishing customer base.
I have not used Yahoo's auction service since they introduced auction fees a few months back. I thought at the time that it wasn't an altogether bad idea, and should improve the quality of the items placed for bidding. This morning, I was looking for an...

Pros: Great alternative to eBay for bidders, some categories are very specialized, FREE, integration w/ Yahoo services Cons: Fewer items than eBay, search is a pain, community is nothing compared to eBay, harder to sell items with fewer bidders
With the booming success of online auction site eBay came many imitators from Amazon.com to the Go network. Yahoo! Auctions is right behind eBay in popularity, but its nowhere near the big E in terms of community, selection and ease of use.
If...

Pros: Dosen't charge listing fees or commission Cons: Not as many items, not as broad search criteria as Ebay
The two major contenders in the internet auction arena are Yahoo! and Ebay. The problem in matching these two is that the services are not entirely the same. In my opinion, buyers and sellers will have a better time with Ebay, but there is the money...

Pros: Management options, easy photo upload and item submitting Cons: some less than reputable consumers
Having read several disparaging opinions about Yahoo Auctions I felt it necessary to say a few positive words.
Yes, I agree with others who have said that Yahoo auctions doesn't always have what you are looking for and maybe some of the buyers...

Pros: Nothing any more Cons: New fees, not enough traffic as eBay
Well, you're wondering why I titled this opinion the way I did. Here's why: Yahoo Auctions was definitely the second best auction site around. With no fees and relatively high traffic, you could list anything on Yahoo without having to worry about being...

Pros: Great Place to Sell Cons: Some buyers will not complete transaction
I have been selling on Yahoo Auctions for over one year now. I love this site and highly recommend it to anyone. First of all they don't charge you for selling or buying. Ebay, Amazon and many of the newer online auctions do have a small fee when you...

Pros: No fees, great prices Cons: none so far
This is by far the best auction service yet. Unlike ebay there are no fees for selling. All the features of ebay are there plus a few more like a buy price where that price automatically closes the auction and that person wins the item. Yahoo!...

Pros: Can always go chat and vent frustration cause you can't find what you want Cons: seems to be less people bid on Yahoo
I've only been on the internet for a couple of months, but I have experienced a lot! When it comes to auction sites Yahoo is just a shadow in that of the masters. While Yahoo is becoming more popular with all it's other features as a web...

I have been selling on Yahoo Auctions for almost a year now.I like the free auction listings a lot as that is why I have switched to this.Though yahoo doesn't get as much traffic as the bigger sites, in the long run it works on to close to the same pay...

Pros: Free, and good bids Cons: Not all bids are serious
So I've used Yahoo!Auctions as a buyer and a seller and I have been very happy with it. Most notably Yahoo! is free, and since I just selling stuff that I have around and don't use it's not too important for me to be selling stuff everyday. This is...

Pros: its free Cons: You get what you pay for....(if your lucky)
Ok, I admit, I used to love the yahoo auctions.... a couple of years ago when I was just starting out as a custom jeweler, there were months that the things I sold on yahoo helped pay the bills....
Then it happened.... some jerk started giving...

Pros: makes me feel like I am at a swap meet Cons: prices, lack of variety
I am an avid ebay auction user, and there is nothing that Yahoo! can offer to bring me to the dark-side.
After using Ebay for quite a long time, I decided to go over and try my luck in some Yahoo auctions. When I got there what I found was...

Pros: No Seller Fees! Cons: Not a big variety of items
That's right Yahoo auctions are free to sellers and don't charge you to sell an item like other auction sites such as Ebay.
However, Yahoo auctions is not as big as Ebay. They don't have as many users or items for sale. This makes it...
