Pros: easy to use, free, free, without cost, good service Cons: the dreaded ad square
You've heard the stories. "Geocities Sucks!" "I hate Geocities" and so on. People love to hate it, but they are overlooking the fact that it is 15 megabytes of webspace for FREE. That's right, kids, FREE. NO MONEY. It seems to be...

Pros: great interface, a lot of space (15MB) Cons: small advertising
I don't see how anyone can have complaints about geocities.com. Not only is it a free web page, with something like 15 MB's of space, but they make it easy and fun to make and maintain your page.
It's very important to have easy page maintenance....

Pros: easy to use Cons: my cons are stated in the review
Note: This is a version of an older review that I deleted. I've added some things to it to make it better. But I did change the title.
Well I was a member of the Geocities community for a long time. It's so easy to use. You can either...

Geocities is what you get for free when you have SBC Yahoo DSL which I've had for a while now. By the time my service contract with SBC was up I ended up keeping SBC not because they had a better website option but because they'd lowered their DSL price ...

I have been using Yahoo! Geocities for years now. I started out with a non-paying site, then upgraded to a paying site a couple of years later when my site gained popularity.

Pros: none Cons: inconsiderate, not helpful
Yahoo is awful! Anyone who has anything to do with them had better read the Terms of Service very carefully before agreeing to join. Did you know that they have rights to use anything that you put on their services for whatever they wish? They also own...

This is a terrible service to sign up with even if you are just starting out with websites. When I first learned HTML, I made the mistake of signing up with them. Luckily I realized the truth- Geocities doesn't want it's members to have nice/cool...

I am a paying GeoCities Pro customer. When you pay for a service, you expect support. However, Geocities does not provide ANY customer service. My web page went fine. My e-mail never has worked right though. My "username@yahoo.com" account works fine,...

Pros: easy to use, fast, lots of resources Cons: limited amount of space, but more available for purchase if you need
I have had a homepage at Geocities for years. When I first started, I did the basic format, where you can just use thier template and create your page. After working on it, I began to learn HTML, so I could do more with the page. Even for the beginner...

Pros: free Cons: a lot
There are a lot of good points to the GeoCities hosting program, but right now all I can think of are the things wrong with it.
I've had my lyrics site (http://www.geocities.com/dulcinea_Del_Toboso_ )at Geocities for about six months and I'm...
