Although one of the better online storage sites that I've tried, using Driveway.com for large files over a dial-up connection can be hazardous to your mental health!
How Driveway Works
You can think of it...

Pros: Free storage, very easy to use, nice sharing system, D&D folder on desktop Cons: Not the most storage space out there, the D&D folder is done better at X-Drive
One of the newest "revolutions" on the Internet is the "Online Storage" genre. Allowing users to store a set amount of files, pictures, programs, and web pages online, so said users may access their files from a different location....

Pros: Free Storage! Cons: Need More!
I'm usually not a fan of working at home -- It's always a big hassle dialing in to the network and the access speeds over a modem are tough to deal with when you're used to a T-1 at work and cable speeds at home. Plus, if you work for a large company,...

Pros: Free, Easy to Use, 25+MB Free Space, Easy Sharing Cons: Sometime difficult to upload files due to server problems, minimal file security
I chuckle every time that I hear the term "internet hard disk." The reason that I do is that it implies that you can replace your hard disk with internet space. Now if we talk about my old 386 that sits in the garage, the one that my wife wants...

Pros: Nice interface Cons: Not as much space as listed, difficulty with drag and drop download
Don't believe everything you see on epinions. While the description says that you will receive 100 MB of storage space for free, you actually only receive 25 when you sign up. There are the options, as are listed in the description, to earn more space...

Pros: Speed of uploads and downloads Cons: May not be able to use it sometimes due to server problems
(REVISED Feb 21st)
Like many dot com companies, Driveway will be gone on March 5th. I used Driveway to store a lot of my documents. Sigh. Now, I guess I'll have to move them to X-drive or Freedrive. Here is a copy of the email I received...

Pros: Frees up your hard drive. Store important files to protect from a disaster. Cons: Lots of Spam mail. Slow to upload and download
~ ~ The one thing I could really do with at present is a new desk- top computer.
We first got a computer about six years ago, an old IBM 486 that somebody or other was putting out in the rubbish, and it is the same system that we have today. (with a...

Okay Okay so I am kidding but I am sure that is what a lot of people use Driveway.com for. For me I have found it handy to back up files, or for storing files that I would rather not keep on my PC, like .wav or .mov and other large files...
