How many times have you gone to Ebay and thought to yourself, isn't there some other way to ask people to put up products rather than that skaggy old bulletin board that nobody seems to read? Well, Bidbay has that covered by offering both traditional auctions and the ability to list the items you want so others can bid on the price they will accept...or what is called a reverse auction. It's a great idea, so why do I feel sorry for this site every time I visit?
Maybe it's the freebies. I like them, don't get me wrong, but somehow it seems sad. Maybe it's that they never have as many products that I'm looking for like Ebay does. Maybe it's that underdog phenomena, but time and time again, I find myself hoping these people "Make the cut". Right now I would go so far as to say that the set up and design of the site is superior to Ebay [no small feat!] but there are fewer people and therefore, a smaller selection. Smaller selection leads to fewer visitors and people selling items. I notice there seem to be more dealers as well. All in all, maybe some promotion would help. Unless you are looking for something really different, this site rivals Ebay, especially the reverse auction feature! But, for competition and unusual items...the leader is still Ebay. Still, give this a try...that reverse auction kicks!
Have fun and happy shopping!`
