You know, I must say that I had been an avid user of priceline for groceries for about 2-3 months before they cancelled the grocery part of the program. I really saved a lot of money for my groceries and I even took advantage of the 1/2 price tokens offer. I thought I would take advantage of the 30 free tokens and get the 5.9 cent per minute long distance service. Once I realized the program was gone, I tried to cancel the long distance service only to be told that I would be charged on my credit card. If priceline didn't honor their end of the bargain, why should I be expected too? I only got to use 11 1/2 price tokens then the grocery part of their program went kaput.
I got several emails as I am sure some of you did who had any tokens or credits outstanding. Anyway they said to help compensate for any 1/2 price tokens they were gonna give you x amount of dollars. For 19 1/2 price tokens I recieved $19.00. THATS IT! In the 11 tokens I used I saved something like $35.00. I swear I was their best customer or one of them at least and to duke me like that wasn't fair.
They should.ve never started a program like that and continued advertising the grocery part of the program after they went kaput. I think that William Shaptner should've help reimburse the consumers of priceline due to the fact that he was still receiving money for his role in the tv commercials and the consumer got duked. Don't you think so?
