Alladvantage Sucks. Need I say more? Okay okay.. leme start with some reasoning, and past history.
When PTS (Paid to Surf) was release, from my knowledge, Alladvantage was the first out there. Out of all my friends, I was the first to learn about the whole PTS scheme of things.
For the first little while, things were great. High payout rates, and something new to the internet.
Months later, more and more PTS companies emerged stating higher payout rates then other companies. I still remained a loyal use to Alladvantage knowing they were the first out there, and also because I had a fair amount of referrals under me.
I've received a few cheques from Alladvantage, totaling around $120 or so, in the time i've been with them. (Thats in Canadian Dollars).
A few months later, things changed, PTS companies payrates dropped, and things called EMULATORS came out (ie: SOA). More emails from these PTS companies stating cheaters will be caught, etc. And blaming them for the lower payrates. I remember going across many chats, where people had cheated these companies, and had been getting cheques for hundreds of dollars (not sure if true or not).
Now, after over a year of a user of Alladvantage, (was a user since June 99) things have gotten to a point of no return. Looking at Alladvantages payment table for December 2000:
Pay per hour in Canadian Dollars: $0.16
Pay per hour for refferals: $0.02
Max hours per month: 10
Minumum payout rate: $78
Now, I remember Alladvantages payrate being up near the $.50/hr range, and 25hr limit per month, which would mean I would easily get $12.50 per month (without referrals). And minimum payout rate being around $20 dollars, so I could easily get a cheque in 2 months.
With todays payout rate, and a little calculation:
$.16 x 10hours = $1.60/mnth
$1.60 x 12mnth = $19.20/year
So, stating a $78 dollar minimum payout rate, I wouldn't get a cheque for another, say... 4 years at LEAST.
Call me crazy, but thats a little insane. Wait 4 years for a cheque!?
Sure even with the payout rate high, its only a few bucks a month, but if I can get $40 here or there, that would mean free internet for me (in other words, the cheques would pay for my cable internet).
Currently I have around $72 dollars or so sitting in my account. Its been there for sometime, at least before the payout rate jumped to $78. So I know they should be sending me a cheque, but when I log into my account, it states:
NOTE: Some member accounts are being held for further analysis and your account is included in this group. Our Community Protection Group should contact you shortly via email regarding your account, and will explain any actions you need to take.
Well its been like this for about 2 weeks now, so I will be writing them a email, stating that I would like my payment ASAP. After this, I will be stop using Alladvantage.
My question is maybe this is what they want, for people to stop using it, so that they collect the money instead now? I'm not sure, but as long as they send my last cheque, I'll be a happy camper with another PTS company out there, or rather spend my time writing Epinions that is at least worth my time!
