What is imood.com all about?
imood lets you know how your friends are feeling and vice versa. The people at imood feel that they should play a part in making Internet users realize that there are actual people with feelings sitting on the other end of the computer, therefore making the Internet more personal. Imood provides the code to place a mood indicator on your webpage and you it will show exactly how you feel.
So how do I go about setting my mood at imood?
You can set two kinds of moods: the base mood and the personal mood. Select a base mood from a long list of generic feelings, ranging from "abandoned" to "zonked", choose the face you’d like displayed next to your mood (happy, sad, mad and neutral) and if enter why exactly you’re feeling the way you are in the personal mood field (optional). If you don’t know what a certain mood means, click the "look up" button to find out!
How do I install a mood indicator on my webpage?
It’s easy! All you have to do is set your mood, follow the link to the code generator, set the background and foregond (text) colors and click on "create". Then just paste the generated HTML to your webpage’s HTML script. If you want, you can also display the Internet’s current mood on your webpage. If you want to see what an imood indicator looks like, please check my profile page.
Is there anything else I might want to know?
Yes- imood also has forums incase you want to chat with other users. You will also receive recommendations for books and websites based on how you’re feeling. You can search for a friend’s mood or view your own personal mood history.
I still don’t get it. What’s the use?
Well, there really isn’t any use for imood. It’s just one of those nifty, trendy things which people love to use to fancy up their webpages. When people see an imood indicator on someone else’s webpage, the odds are that they’ll want one too. That’s one of the reasons why imood has almost 50,000 members.
