I have been going to St.Louis After Dark (http://www.stlouisafterdark.cjb.net/) for quite some time now. To be honest, the site is run by a long-time friend of mine! This, however, does not sway my judgement on this site. It is truly a beautiful site (artwork and content-wise), and I will continue to go there as long as it still exists.
What is "St. Louis After Dark" about?
It is actually meant for vampires and the people who love them. This site is definitely not for the faint of heart. However, if you are a fan of vampires or anything dark, this is the place to go. I might as well just let the web mistresses' own words describe what the site is about "St. Louis After Dark is a vampire group based in the St. Louis Metropolitan area. Our purpose is to provide an environment where all creatures of the nice can congregate together and have a good time. We provide support and information to the vampire community at large."
What does "St. Louis After Dark" have to offer to me?
Way too many things for me to even write here. When you go to the main page, you are presented with many, many different choices of places to go and things to look at. I am just going to touch on some of them. You can look at the "Vampire Information Articles" page. This page contains various articles about everything from types of vampires and vampire biology to the issues that vampires have to deal with today. Next is the all-important Bulletin Board. On this page you can write poetry, jokes, read classified ads, vampire news, or even correspond with some "real vampires". Most of the people on this bulletin board are really nice and will answer your question/post without delay!
There is also a Chat Room, Poetry page, an Art Gallery, and a Image Gallery to boot! Further down on the list you will see a "Vampire Entertainment" link which takes you to a page which lists all of the vampiric books movies, and events are are out right now. This page also boasts a couple of non-dark links (The "Arch Cam", Guestbook, and Awards Page, while it also has a couple of browswer and desktop themes that you can download for your own delight!
Alright! But why is it that you keep saying that "St. Louis After Dark" is so beautiful???
The design of the page is downright gorgeous. The artwork was done by the webmistress herself, I believe, and I must say that she really designed the whole website very nicely. Everything goes together in a way that is eyecatching, and you don't feel bombarded when you are looking at it. Everything seems to be in the perfect spot. Right where it should be.
So, anyway, I have told you that this page is gorgeous, and I believe that I have gotten my point across. If you are at all into vampires, anything dark, or if you are even into web design, I strongly urge you to visit this page. In my opinion, St. Louis After Dark is of professional caliber!
