I started using Auction Watch after I got fed up with Honesty.com going down all of the time, leaving my auctions with no pictures. I clicked on a link that was on someone else's auction and I was amazed at all of the things this website can do for you.
They have much more than just image hosting, they offer 25 templates, and 17 counters that make auctions look very professional just by selecting which ones you want on your auction. My auctions are very colorful without taking forever to load, and I don't have to know a thing about html. (Which I don't)
I was also amazed I could search for an item through their site, and get results from all of the major auctions and some of the not so major ones, such as e-deal. This feature works very well, except sometimes their pages aren't updated and there might already be bids on an item that didn't show up on Auction Watch's search. Clicking "refresh" at the top of the page will remedy this.
One feature of this site I was VERY unhappy with was their "Post Sale Management" I used this after some of my auctions had ended thinking I was saving myself some time, but it turned out to be a big headache. One of my buyers complained he had spent half an hour trying to find the information, and "asked" that I just send him a regular e-mail instead. I also had 3 buyers who thought they paid me through Paypal by clicking on what Auction Watch said was the appropriate link, but I never got their payments and had to have them all do it again through Paypal directly. I believe they have some major bugs to work out with this feature.
Another thing I was not real impressed with was their free software download, Auction Pro. Although it worked well enough, I thought it was a waste of time, the site itself seemed to work faster and simpler. I was also disappointed because I thought Auction Pro was more of a record keeping software where I could keep track of my costs and profits, it does none of that.
There are many other features to this site, such as a message center where most of the complaints and questions do get addressed by Auction Watch employees and other members. I also enjoy the "News and Information" they send to my e-mail address about every week.
Although it's not perfect, I believe Auction Watch is a great tool for auction sellers and buyers. And the best part is it's all free!
