The Bottom Line It's the best of all the "screen saver-type" programs out there!! Do yourself a favor and just get it. =)

When I reformatted my hard drive, I made sure that Webshots was one of the first programs to get re-installed on my computer. I just can’t have my system without it!
Before you start wondering what it is, I’ll tell you now =P It’s a program that let’s you change your desktop images. You don’t have to look at the same old images every time you turn on your computer. I found this program really cool when you team it up with your favorite icons or themes.
Go to www.webshots.com to setup your account and download their software. The download process won’t take long since the prog is only 1.5mb. Their software is not a shareware; it’s totally free. Installation of their program is very simple. Once it’s installed, you’re all set to download any picture you’re heart desires. :)
Webshots.com has 6 different sections – Home, Gallery, e-Cards, Community and My Photos.
Here’s a little something about each section:
Home: This page shows all the categories for all the professional photos available for download. Categories include: 3D Art, Adventure Sports, Animals, Art, Cats and Kittens, Dogs and Puppies, Field and Stream, Military, Misc Sports, Nature Scenes, Ocean Life, People, Religion, Seasonal, Space, Specialty, Travel and finally Water Sports. Each category holds hundreds of pictures!
This is also the main page to download their software. You can also see the featured Photo Collections as well as the featured Member Photo Album.
Gallery: This shows all the professional photos found on Webshots. It shows all the thumbnails of all the featured collections. You can choose to see the Top Downloaded Photos, the 100 Current Day’s Top Downloaded Photos and the Highest Rated Photos. If you’re not sure of what to download, these links are a good place to start, especially the Highest Rated Photos link. This section also displays all their newest additions.
Daily: Webshots gives you the option of looking at their new photos everyday via their program. You can look at all the daily pictures they have from previous months in this section. This section also includes headline news, the weather, and the daily horoscope. You can also send e-cards on this page.
e-Cards: They have a huge collection of e-cards in this section. They, of course, also offer holiday-themed e-cards. Send e-cards to your friends in this section.
Community: The pictures on this section are all uploaded by members. There are currently more than 4,200,000 (yep! that’s four million) pictures here!! You can also use these photos as wallpaper. You can also rate the photos here. The categories are: Entertainment, Hobbies & Interests, Travel, Family & Friends, Pets, Sports and User Pages.
Sometimes people just don’t have anything to do. Pictures here range from super lousy to breathtaking! From family pictures to naked pictures. It’s all here! Pamela Anderson, Jenny McCarthy, Britney Spears all the way to Anna Kournikova and so on…
My Photos: I have not uploaded anything to Webshots. But I’m pretty sure that this is where you can view your uploaded pics and also the place to create/edit photo albums.
That pretty much explains the website. Now on to the program itself. You can set Webshots to change the image on your desktop automatically. You can set it to automatically cycle every 15 minutes, 30 minutes, hour, 4 hours, day and week.
You can also use Webshots as your screen saver. You can specify how long the image display, when will the screen saver start and you can also set a password for the screen saver. It will even let you specify a keyboard shortcut for starting your screen saver or when you want to change the image on your desktop.
Webshots will also remind you of new or daily pictures. You can set the time for the reminders. You can always turn off this feature if you don’t want to get bothered.
Within the Photo Manager, you can rename, move to other folders and delete the pictures/albums that you have downloaded from Webshots. You can also create an album and put all your personal pictures there.
I highly recommend Webshots to those that are just plain tired of seeing the same old images.
*I almost forgot to mention that Webshots also let's you order products using the pictures you like. You can order T-shirts, mugs, watches, order prints, puzzles and many many more!
