I began experimenting with auctions a few months ago. Like most everyone, I started out looking to buy, then decided to try a little selling and before I knew what hit me, I was definitely in over my head. Then, one day while browsing things to buy, I kept noticing the little AuctionWatch Icon at the bottom of some of the auctions and chose to click on it. Well, I felt like Dorothy in Oz!. Suddenly, I could make my ads look as good as the "sperts. First, I found templates to make the ad look "Professional". Then, I figured out about image storage.(I had been storing them offsite and trying to keep up with addressed and not doing too well). I still consider myself a novice, but this place makes things so easy.
After I got the hang of storing images, then using templates and maybe inserting a little animation or whatever, I really began to see a difference in the responses to my ads. Also, I am able to keep up with the number of hits with the free counters. I found this very helpful in studying the way an ad was hit by the leading statements. (using the same item in different wordings).
It just gets better. Now, I found x.com and made my life even easier with people paying by credit card and being able to send the items quickly, thus moving things smoothly and efficiently. You can send an invoice just like a real business person. Not everyone seems to feel comfortable with this feature, but I love it.
Ok, now, the shipping questions are removed as I began using iShip, which would allow the buyer to figure out on their own, what the shipping will be. I think this interactive part should make the buyer feel more in control. The only thing I don't like is it doesn't allow for quoting just 1st class.
I just can't keep up, I notice they keep adding things that makes my life so much easier. The features are growing daily. There are available, advise, appraisals, news, message board and much much more and it's all FREE
Please do yourself a favor and cruise around this site. Did I mention it's free? I check it daily to keep track of my auctions (by the way, it does several auction sites and will even track things you want to buy and I understand it has a "sniping" feature which I haven't even seen yet).
