Now I am not a person who frequents the internet all that much, but when I do go online, it has become a habit of mine to surf on in to the ebay auction site. I love looking through old toys and sports memorabilia, and thinking about having or owning some of the stuff that I see on there, and wishing to myself that I had kept better care of all of it over the years.
My biggest fear is coming across someone selling old banana peels. Boy would I feel stupid about all thos years where I just threw them out ;)
EBay is a site where you can go to auction off anything and everything that you could possibly think of. It is a completely online based site that allows you to bid on merchandise "site-unseen". Sometimes you get to see a picture of the auction item, but many times, you just see a description of the given trinket, and you have to take a leap of faith as to whether it is completely accurate or not.
In my experience on the site, I have not attempted to sell anything, but rather participated in bidding on some things myself. To sign up, it is really easy, and you can also use a joint site (www.paypal.com) to use an account to either pay off your winning bids, or to have someone else pay you through. The bids that I have made have yet to win, but I enjoy the chase more than just getting the winning bid.
So, if you are heavy on spare time, and/or have some cash to burn, give this site a try!
