I promised myself I will write this review once epinions has the choice.So here I am.
Good things about mercata:
1. $100 new customer coupon. Unfortunately you have to use it within one month. Should be good for a digital camera? :)
2. Good price, I am a bargain seeker and most of the times I found the price here is very competitive. Although the selection is somewhat small.
But I guess that is common for all group buying sites.
3. Excellent service. Here is my experience. I ordered a cordless phone. UPS wrongly shipped it to some address I never known. When I called UPS, they are not very willing to solve the problem and they insist they have the signature and it is the same with other signatures they had for the same address. I have to call the custome service in Mercata. I remember a nice lady name Sherry. She immediately contacted UPS and asked for copy of signatures. The same time I got very polite emails about status.
Apparently the signatures are not match. but UPS will not refund me. They only agree to do a trace. I told myself that this probably will never end. But soon I got reply frm Sherry and she said Mercata refund me the money and will tract the package with UPS. None of my businees anymore.
What a relief.
Later on I bought some other stuff form Mercata and the overall experience if fine. Fast delivery and nothing wrong (as long as UPS
ship the package correctly).
I strongly recommend this site both for good price and good service
