FTD Helped Put a Smile on Mom's Face When She Needed It Most

My mom went to see her cardiologist and suddenly found herself getting an angioplasty and some other "work" done on her arteries, requiring an overnight stay at the hospital and lots of time spent flat on her back. Now, this is a woman who has worked out for the past 15 years and lost and kept off over 50 pounds over the past 20. Needless to say, she was really bummed to find herself in this predicament, even though the worst part was now over.
My brother and I decided to cheer her up from long distance (Mom's in Tampa, I'm in Miami, and my brother's in Philadelphia), as we could not be there to keep her company. So I went to the FTD site, and was amazed at the wide variety of arrangements (all pictured) and price ranges. Customers could not only pick out the perfect arrangement, they could also opt to spend a little extra to make arrangements a little fuller or more personalized. I found a beautiful, cheerful arrangement of brightly colored flowers for my mom, and just a few clicks ensured that the gorgeous arrangement (as pictured on the site) would be sent to Mom when she was released form the hospital. I was a little worried about the quality of the flowers, but this is a chance buyers must take when they are sending flowers long-distance, regardless if they're sent over the internet or by phone.
Mom called me today to thank me for the gorgeous arrangement. She reported that the flowers were perfectly fresh, open, and fragrant, and that the vase was sturdy and tasteful; but most of all, she expressed to me how much it meant to her that her children could send her some extra love and warm fuzzies despite our geographic locations. Not only was I happy Mom was out of the woods, I was glad that the beautiful flowers from FTD brightened her day and reminded her of how special she is to us.
