RefMaker -- why and how it was created

Full Disclosure: I was one of the creators of RefMaker and still provide technical support and maintenance.
RefMaker was the first site of its kind and I want to take this opportunity to explain how and why it was born. This should help people understand for whom it was created and how we expect it to be used.
I've signed up for AllAdvantage back in April '99, but didn't start promoting it until July. At first, I just tried to make as many direct referrals as possible, but then I realized that I will only achieve the exponential growth of our downlines if I provide my referrals with a way to promote all these programs. So together with my friend, Alex, we started RefMaker. RefMaker is a way to give our referrals a website they can use to duplicate our results. Since starting RefMaker our indirect referrals have exploded -- not only our directs, but also their referrals have the ability to generate more and more referrals!
Another feature which is inherent in RefMaker is the ability to "resell" to the same people. When I just had my own website, people would come, some would like it, and some would sign up for a few programs. But very few people would come back to sign up again. So all my marketing efforts were generating one time returns. With RefMaker, you only need to refer a person once, and from then on they will be signing up for multiple programs under you. This means that your marketing time/money is working for you multiple times.
Finally, we tried to build into RefMaker many features that would help people to make it easier to promote GPTS companies -- there are company ratings, links to ePinions reviews, visitor tracking, counters, and many more. And most of these benefits are available for free!
