I tried Stamps.com after seeing many online banners. The idea is interesting, and seemed that it should work using the appropriate supplies. I have had some trouble with their customer service, however. I waited a long time for the postage scale and customer service was not able to even tell me if it had been ordered. When it finally did arrive, it didn't work. It came with no address for warranty service and Stamps.com didn't respond to my request for one.
I send international mail which isn't supported by Stamps.com. Then when I tried to mail a book in the US, I found that I couldn't use fourth class mail either. These are pretty simple tasks that I should be able to use.
They have a provision for reimbursing misprinted postage but you must mail the envelope back to them, negating the benefit of getting the postage credit. Also, you must mail it back within 10 days, so you can't save up the misprints and mail them at one time.
