Priceline Gas is here in addition to groceries!

Priceline.com gas is now up and running. I tried it for the first time today with success.
The first thing that you need is a Priceline.com gas card. I requested one before the site opened and it was mailed to me this week. If you don’t have one, request one online.
Sign into Priceline gas with the card number on the back of your card. You will need to input the octane gas that you want and the number of gallons. I chose 10 gallons of supreme gas. You can chose 10-50 in 10 gallon increments. You must also enter the zip code of the area that you want gas from. My area listed 4 gas stations. A Citgo, Exxon, Amoco, and Shell. Three of the locations were within 2 miles of my house. You must select at least three gas stations that you are willing to purchase from. I did not select the Amoco.
The Priceline system will tell you the average price for gas, in my case it was $1.78. You then chose what price you would like to pay. Each price tells you what chance you have of getting your price; great, good, fair and low. The prices I received were $1.72, $1.67, $1.61 and $1.56. I chose $1.61.
Now you can submit your request and see if it works. Well Hooray! I got my price and my credit card was charged. I printed my pre-paid gas list. I already had an account and credit card set up for groceries so the sytem remembered my information.
Here are some notes:
You can have up to 50 gallons on your card
You have to wait 8 hours before you go to the gas station
Go to the site, swipe your card at the pump, select credit and input the ID# on the pre-paid list that you printed, pump and leave
You have 90 days to use the gas.
If the price is lower at the pump you will be refunded within 60 days.
This service is now free but it looks like they will charge $3 per month after your first 90 days.
