Cyber Casino and Sportsbook
Authenticity - do they give you the casino 'feel'? It looks like a very futuristic setup, so the Trekkers will have a good time with it. I imagine the cityscape they use is what New York City will look like 50 years from now if Disney doesn’t buy it first. I give it two stacks for looking cool, but real it ain’t.
2) Games - fast loading, cool graphics, big jackpots? There are two totally separate ways to get into this site. First, the casino has free software for you to download. This is the WORST feature of this casino. You have to download each individual game and install it separately. Every game you download has to be installed separately into the application. So, when you download a new game you have to restart the casino software in order for it to work correctly. Pain in the posterior. The games themselves are very attractive and move along at a nice, brisk pace. Second, however, the sportsbook is accessed through a browser, so there’s nothing to install. The interface is not exactly intuitive for the sportsbook, but once you get the hang of it it’s easy to work with. It constantly updates three frames so there’s a lot going on. You’ll find that their system keeps you working with lots of information at one time which is very nice. I give this feature two and a half stacks. The download only happens once, and it’s very much made up for by the fact that you can bet on the sportsbook with NO download whatsoever.
3) Security - are they independently monitored? Is their payment system secure? Cyber Casino is a member of the Internet Gaming Commission. You can find out more about their private arbitration system here-http://www.internetcommission.com/. The casino is licensed and regulated by Antigua and Barbuda. In addition, they have a great document describing the process of purchasing chips. You can find it here - http://www.cybersportsbook.com/Money_TransferDemo.htm. With that reassurance, you can work with their online credit card processing system confidently. Of course, if you prefer Western Union then you’re in luck since they work with Western Union as well.
4) Customer Service - are they easy to reach? Do they offer telephone, email, 24/7 support? Their 800 number is up 24/7 for US and Canada customers, and there’s a 24/7 chat room for other locations. Their copious documentation should take care of most routine issues, and there’s a toll number for those desiring a human voice who can’t get to an area that the 800 number services.
5) Maximum payouts or minimum deposits - do these apply? The minimum bet is US$10; the maximum, dependent on the sport, is US$1,100 on straight bets, US$500 for combination bets and US$500 for future and proposition wagers...Funds MUST be available in your account in order to wager. There is no minimum account balance.
So, let’s go and bet some cash on a sporting event, shall we? They offer American Football, Tennis, Hockey, European Football, Auto Racing, Rugby, Boxing, Cricket, and even Handball for crissakes. I am NOT going to go over all the possible bets as they’re very well documented here - http://www.cybersportsbook.com/help/help4.htm/. The different sports have different methods for paying out on your winnings, and the vig on most sports is bet 11 to win 10, and boxing requires 12 to win 10. The navigation through the sportsbook is really easy, so your betting should be quick and easy. Since there’s no software to download, you can probably place your bets at work and nobody would be the wiser.
But before you use their secure payment methods to get yourself ready to do some betting, you’ll probably want to check their real time scores, news, injury, weather reports and stats. It’s available on an easy-to-navigate directory right on the front page of the site. You’ll find lots of informative articles on anything you might want to know. You’ll even be able to check the results of your bets right there!
Now on to the casino. I haven’t played Roulette for almost a week, so I was ready to go right away. The game loads up in a flash, so I just clicked on the chip denomination I chose (and I’m not telling you what it was) and clicked on the table to place the chips. One more click on the Spin button and Lady Luck shoved $20 down my throat. I just love Roulette. I stayed at the Roulette table for a couple more spins and up $60 I moved on to Blackjack.
The Blackjack table is really quick and easy to play. It’s all mouse-driven, and once you get used to being the one that keeps the action moving you’ll be really pleased with the ease and speed of the game. I really like the fact that there’s no animation of a hand shuffling a deck or a hand dealing cards or other miscellaneous animation that keeps the action from being as quick as it can be. The cards are easily recognizable and well-decorated. It’s my favorite Blackjack table on the Net so far. This particular game gets Three Stacks from me. It’s just great.
From Blackjack, I went to the Video Poker game. This one’s a nice version as well. There’s a Zoom feature available on all the games, but I definitely recommend zooming this particular game. It lowers the resolution of the screen and makes the cards and buttons appear a little larger. This helps because the Bet Max button and the Deal buttons are a little small. There aren’t any strange tricks or features to the game, it deals out nice and quickly, and the odds are posted very visibly. It’s simple to use and easy to navigate. There’s a cute little animation after the cards are dealt as well. The Kings turn into castles, the Aces into crossed swords, and the Queens turn into mirrors. It’s a nice touch, but it’s not distracting. Great version of the game.
Gold Rush Jackpot is a slot machine game with a progressive jackpot. This is another great game. I know, I’ve been saying that all the casino games are great in this review but I am just impressed. They allow you to play the progressive jackpot in the free-play mode where the other casinos don’t allow that. It’s nice. You can get a feel for whether you like it before you bet your bankroll on it. It has a pretty standard payout, and it moves along quickly. Once you click the Max Bet button the wheels spin quickly and you get your result quickly.
I just have to highly recommend this casino. The games are quick, the graphics are good, and you can play any of the games in free mode. I like being able to play in free mode for a while just so I can see whether I like them enough to play with actual money. They’re quick, they’re easy, and the payout comes quickly. Once you win, the chips go right into your account instead of ringing bells and flashing lights and everything. You get your credits and you can keep rolling. Anyway, on to Pai Gow Poker.
This game follows Blackjack and Video Poker as being easy to play. The help files were very well written, and explain the rules of using the wild card well. It’s quick to deal and easy to follow. You can tell immediately if you won, and the betting is as fast as you can point and click.
This is one of the best online casinos I have played for its ease of use and speed. I highly recommend downloading the free software and giving it a good try. It’s fast, the help files are well written, and it downloads quickly. Once you take the time to download the extra games and restart the casino you’re in for a treat. This casino earns the coveted Three Stacks for great playability.
