Disney thru priceline?

I have been using priceline for groceries for a couple of months now. The prices for food is really good for example a gallon of milk is $1.50. My son has been begging to go to Disney for two years now. I checked prices for hotel and parkhopper tickets online thru Disney and through travel agencies. The cheapest deal I could find was thru Disney. It included a six day stay at one of their budget motels and five day park hopper passes for a little over $1,600 For two adults and two children. I deceided to try priceline. After you register name adress credit info etc. You click on to choose your destination. I clicked on Orlando (Disney area). Then you get to chose your hotel rating. one, two, three stars etc. I clicked on five star hotel. I put in my bid $50 dollars a night. they said I would get an email in an hour saying if it was accepted or not. In five minutes I had the anwser; rejected. I tried again this time $ 60 dollars a night. to my surprise I got an email 5 minutes later saying it was excepted. I was booked at the Marriot Orlando World Center hotel. The total for a seven nights stay including priceline's $5 fee. was $478, which was charged to the credit card I had on file. I checked the Marriot website and that is a gorgeous hotel. It is regularly $170 a night. I also priced the 5 day hopper tickets online and they are $422 for my husband, myself and six year old. My littlest is free he's two. So for much less then the budget hotel I got a first rate hotel through priceline. A great deal all the way around. The only thing I think some people might not like is that it is sort of a gamble because you don't know exactly which hotel you will get. However I like surprises and since I picked 5 stars I figured the hotel would be better then the budget so i went for it and I am glad I did. If my husband had not developed a fear for flying I would have gotten airline tickets a priceline also.
