Are you looking for a job? Have you tried Hot Jobs? I had never heard of Hot Jobs at first but after asking a good friend of recommend job search sites on the internet she recommended Hot Jobs. During her job search she had a lot of luck with Hot Jobs. She found the job of her dreams.
I am not looking for a job for myself but for my husband. For several months I have been on the job hunt while he is at work. During this time I have used several job search sites like Hot Jobs. Some of these sites are good while others are a waste of my time. Other jobs sites on the internet that compare to Hot Jobs are Monster.com and Career Site.
So what makes Hot Jobs useful in my job hunt? There are several features that Hot Jobs offers that makes job searching a little easier. The first feature is the opportunity to go online and look for a job. I just put in the city (Birmingham), the type of job I am looking for, and click the button. Wow! There are lots of jobs out there. Of course I am asking myself why aren't they knocking my door down with job interviews.
The second feature that I like about Hot Jobs is that I can put the resume online for employers to view. For all of you who are job searching but don't want your boss to find out there is another feature that allows you to block the employer from seeing the resume. In my case my husband and I don't care if his employer sees the resume online so I don't worry about
blocking the employer from seeing the resume.
The third feature I like about Hot Jobs is that they will email me with prospective jobs. Most of these seem like decent jobs but I have not had any luck with any of the jobs listed. I believe this is because I have not been job searching hard enough.
What I don't like about Hot Jobs? Several times I have gotten some off the wall jobs that I know don't fit the search I am doing. Example of this would be one day I was searching for a job similar to CEO, etc. and came up with secretarial type work. Now I am not putting down secretaries because they do work very hard.
If you are searching for a job I would recommend Hot Jobs but also use some of the other sources that are available online. There are some jobs on the site but finding them can be quite tricky at times. Like my friend said, "you just have to wait until the perfect one comes around."
