$10 per referral, $10 per email, WOW! Pretty exiting stuff huh? Especially to those who've been bitten by the "make money online" bug. Unfortunately, the majority of these programs don't live up to the hype-and Inboxcash looks to be one of the wishful thinkers. This is not to say you cannot earn money by referring and receiving advertising emails-just that Inboxcash may not be as profitable it first appears. As opposed to "bait and switch", Inbox cash is more of a "bait with a hitch".
The Bait
The concept of paying people to receive emails from advertisers is not new. Sites like "Net-4-Biz" and "Sendmoreinfo" do pay anywhere from $.01 to $.05 per advertisement you receive. Inboxcash infers $10 per email, so this and the offered $10 per friend you sign up is obviously the bait.
The Catch
Looking closer, the amount a member receives for emails is up to $10 per email. When signing up, you are given the option to choose how much you are willing to accept from the advertiser per mail-starting with $.01 and going all the way up to $10. The way to receive a $10 email seems to be summed up in this excerpt from their site..."If for whatever reason we do not have a match we will send you a random advert that may or may not be of interest. For these adverts you will receive up to $10." Advertisers always have a match!
With regard to the phenomenal referral rate, the fine print will inform you that you are only credited for that referal when they send your referral their first payment. Reaching the minimum payment for most members of email programs is quite a trick-given the minimum balance for payment is not given it's hard to say if your referral will ever reach it.
The Smelly Fish you do not want to clean
BePaid.com. If you haven't heard of it, it is another advertising program that many were very exited about. Their long awaited Advision bar that had people hoping for $20-$120 per hour finally came out-only to send out extremely infrequent ads that paid pennies.
After signing up with Inboxcash, you receive a confirmation mail with an offer to join BePaid. The affiliation with BePaid can only be veiwed as bad where I'm concerned, and takes away any credibility I would otherwise have given Inboxcash.
If you are still interested in joining Inboxcash, continue reading..the rest of you free to bail (boring details ahead):
Signup
Users worldwide may sign up for Inboxcash, if there are no laws in a particular country that prevent you from taking part.
The process of signing up is easy. After listing your e-mail (you may not use a secondary account like "hotmail" or "yahoomail") you will be asked to check your interests. The more you check, the more mail you are likely to receive.
Next, you will have to fill out your personal information-the usual, how often you buy online, education, income, etc. This is in order to target you with specific advertisements as well.
The Site
Well designed and easy to navigate, however, the "Frequently asked questions certainly didn't cover all of mine, and the answers to the ones available seemed vague.
Payment
You may request payment anytime after you have reached the minimum balance in your account. Again, the minimum balance is not listed as yet.
All offers are given in US currency, and your balance is also in US currency, but Inboxcash will convert to £ or Euro`s when you request payment based on the current exchange rate.
In all fairness, my rating of Inboxcash is partially based on my dislike for email programs in general. They just don't pay very well. If you happen to like them, and feel they are worth your trouble, by all means try this one-without the high expectations the site implies this one is similar to "Net-4-Biz" or "MoneyforMail". If you like those, this one may be worth your time, but it's not worth mine.
