Driveway.com is one of the best and easiest to use online storage sites. You can access your files from anywhere, share files, back up data, and many other things.
About Driveway
Driveway is an online storage site that allows you upload, access, and share your personal files. You can store documents, spreadsheets, contracts, proposals, MP3 files, and more. Organize and manage important documents such as tax, insurance, and health records, as well as contact lists, address books, or resumes. Driveway is currently partnered with Microsoft, Lycos, Juno Online Services, LookSmart, McAfee.com, Netscape, Phoenix Technologies, and USA.NET.
Signing Up
To take advantage of all Driveway services, you have to sign up. When you first enter Driveway.com, you will see a button at the top right. Clicking on it takes you to a page where you enter some information about yourself. You will be asked to enter your member name, password, your email address, first and last name, and zip code. You can also opt to receive special offers from Driveways sponsors. Once you submit your information, you're on your way to uploading and sharing your files!
Amount of Storage Space
Signing up automatically gives you 25mb of storage. You can get up to 100mb of storage free. You can earn more by filling out surveys and referring friends. You can also buy more storage, if it's needed. Additional space is purchased in 100mb increments, up to 500mb total per account. Driveway has two payment plans. You can pay $29.95 for 3 months per 100mb, or $107.95 a year per 100mb, which they say is a 10% savings. You also receive 5mb storage space when you upload your first file.

Here, you can view your recent file activity and recent sharing activity. If you've uploaded or shared any of your personal files, you can view the information about them here.
My Files
Under here you can manage all your files and folders. This page shows you your folders and lets you categorize, move, rename, or delete them. You also have the option of viewing your folders in a list, in detail, or as thumbnails.
· Uploading - You can browse your computer and upload a file, or you can upload multiple files at once. Once you choose the files you want to upload simultaneously (seven at a time), select a destination folder and assign a category if you choose. Then click on upload, and it's all done. The speed of your internet connection depends on how long it takes for the files to upload.
· Create a New Folder
Simply type in the name you want for you new folder in the field, and hit the new folder button.
· Search Your Files
This option is useful if you have a large amount of files and are looking for just one. Type in your query in the field and click the search button. Your results will be on the left side of the page. On the right side you can search for more files. If your search is unsuccessful the first time, you can go onto the Advanced Search link. You are given more search options, which are:

·File Type
·File Properties
·Property Keywords
·File Size
·Category
·Date Accessed
·Date Modified
Categories
You can assign categories to your folders. You can create your own category, or use Driveway's, which are Business, Important, and Personal.
Sharing
This lets you access the contents of the you created. You can share your folders and your categories, or just certain files.
Driveway Extras
Under this option, you can click on the different services offered by Driveway's sponors. These are listed on the left of the page. On the right, you are given 3 options to enhance your Driveway account.
· Driveway Drag & Drop
Driveway Drag & Drop lets you drag files directly from your desktop to your Driveway account. Once you set up the drag-and-drop Web Folders Technology, your Driveway account will look like a folder on your desktop.
· Driveway Clipping
Driveway Clipping saves files directly from a web site to your Driveway account, without downloading, so the content is safely stored in your Driveway.
· Park It
This feature allows your site visitors to instantly save you Web content directly to their Driveway account. You can add Park It functionality to any file.
Cons
I haven't had any problems accessing my files, uploading, and sharing them. The only negative thing I see, which isn't really Driveway's fault, is the slowness of uploading or downloading. I also read from other reviews that Driveway has compatibility problems with Netscape. I don't use Netscape, so I can't verify those claims. But if you are Netscape user, you should be cautious. Other than that, Driveway is a great site.
Conclusion
Online storage is a great idea and Driveway.com will make your storing process an enjoyable one. With it's simple interface and easy navigation, you should have no problems.
