In my oftentimes futile quest for AllAdvantage referrals, I almost always have an incredible amount of difficulty understanding why people won't sign up.
Here are some lame responses I have unfortunately heard:
"It(the Viewbar)takes up too much space."
-Oh come on, you're getting compensated for it!
"I don't have the time to deal with it."
-Uhh, how long does it take you to double-click an icon? Usually it opens when you start Windows, so you don't have to deal with anything!
"Why does AllAdvantage need my address and telephone number?? Can't I put down a fake name? What are they going to do with my personal information? I don't...."
-Enough! Do I smell paranoia? Enough said...
The Truth
The real deal is you get paid to sacrifice an inch of vertical monitor space while you can do anything else you want and get paid to surf the 'Net. You get paid $0.50 an hour on your own, and if you have a nice number of referrals, that can increase to $1.00 an hour easily, assuming everyone is as into it as you are.
All Advantage (AA) offers everything us lazy Internet surfers want...money for nothing. Apparently it's working for AA since, well they're still in business. They have quite enough investment capital to carry them through in an age where the Internet is literally paid for via ads.
Referrals are pretty easy to get too. If you show a friend the featured members with enough referrals to populate a medium-sized American city, that's incentive enough, albeit not entirely realistic. You also get paid for several levels of referrals, 5 levels under you, to be specific, including your direct referrals. It's money, and nothin' beats free money that's for sure.
Sometimes I wonder, would the people who turn this down turn over a guaranteed minimum $25 every 2 months from random people? We, as a society, are sickened by the syndrome to save save save so we can spend spend spend. Wouldn't you like just a little more to "spend spend spend"?
Also, unlike Getpaid4 and other services, you do not have to request your check. If you make $20 in a month, you get your check. Simple, easy, and yes, its money.
The Few Minuses
#1---You only get paid for 25 hours per month. AA wants to make that 40, which, wow, would be spectacular. That would guarantee that each member could make the minimum $20/month to receive a check. I do think at this point it is still unrealistic.
#2---I didn't hear about AA earlier. Ok, that's a weak minus, but I can't think of anymore!
The Whole Enchilada
Basically, it's the best paid-to-surf deal. I like it a lot. I have been a member since September '99, and it helps quite a bit with finances. I believe I have made around $300 with them, which isn't bad.
The free money adds up over time, of course, as AA gains more value to the Internet market and consumers.
If you have any further AA questions, feel free to contact me.
