I am fairly new to the whole “paid to search/paid to click” game. The only two websites of this type that I am involved with are Searchcactus.com and Netflip.com. The idea of “money for nothing” lured me in, and although it can be tedious being involved in more than one program, it is easy.
You get $3.00 just for joining, then Netflip.com pays you 1 cent to 5 cents for every click, with a maximum of 10 clicks per day. The only links you receive credit for are the ones with a value next to it ($.01 - $.05). There are very few 5 cent clicks, but there is an abundance of penny clicks. Like Searchcactus, some categories have more paid clicks than others. I have also noticed that several 1 cent clicks will actually earn you two cents. Woo Hoo!
You can only click each link once every 3 days, so it is easy to get frustrated when beginning with Netflip, especially since several links appear in multiple categories. I experienced a little frustration when I got started, but I have gotten over it. I have chosen 4 categories - Shopping, Entertainment, Finance and Travel – and I rotate them daily, clicking all the links in one category until I reach my daily limit of ten. The next day I move on to the next category until I get back to Shopping.
When you click a link, you have to stay on that website for 20 to 30 seconds or more to receive credit. What I like about Netflip is that your account total is displayed at the top of the website. Once you click a paid link then return to Netflip, you can simply refresh the page to see if you got credit. Also, the website lets you know once you’ve reached the maximum ten clicks per day.
As a search engine, Netflip is pretty weak. I attempted a specific search that would normally yeild me over 100 good links regarding my entry, and Netflip only returned 10.
Netflip.com offers you several Fast Cash opportunities. Visit the Fast Cash page to see several dozen websites that are offering you cash for joining their services or buying their products. I refuse to buy anything from these websites, but I did join a few. Unlike Searchcactus, Netflip gives you credit if you use a different email address other than the one you used when joining Netflip. I joined several of these Fast Cash offers using a junkmail account I created for that specific reason, and that account is bombarded with junkmail.
If you have $20 in your account at the end of the month, Netflip is supposed to automatically send you a check. If you have less than $20, it rolls over to the next month.
I am giving Netflip.com 3 out of 5 stars for now. This rating will go up or down once I determine how long it takes them to mail a check once I reach my $20.
UPDATE 3/13/2001: I received my check when promised.
