I recently went through a hard drive crash. Lost some data, but some was backed up on CD, some one ZipDisk, and recently I have started backing up stuff on Driveway!
Plenty of free space is given to you to hold plenty of documents, settings files, critical back-up's, and client projects, and it is very easy if you have Microsoft's Web Folders installed (Web Folders is a freebie with IE4+). You can browse your Driveway folders like they were on your computer.
Granted this situation would work 10x better with a DSL or faster connection, but if your like me and stuck with a 56k till the phone company realizes there is a sub-station nearby to get DSL to you, the 56k method is a good one for while you sleep. Just copy, paste, shut of the monitor and sleep! ;-)
So far I have been very pleased, no major problems or concerns to talk to tech support about, it is truly just like my PC has some new folders. Now for those visiting without Web Folders installed can still do the traditional webpage form upload. Easy, and quick. Some older browsers may not support the upload feature, but upgrades are easy to come by now days.
Give it a try! Back-up that photo archive of family, or save some of those sound files you like on there for later use so they are not hogging up your hard disk!
