My experience with Vann's customer service was not good. I ordered a product on line the night before Easter, quickly changed my mind, and within an hour of ordering I left a message on their customer service line to cancel the order. On Monday, after they had been open for about 4 hours, I received an email saying that my order had been shipped. They refused to pay for the return shipping. Their customer service people were polite, and their shipping was fast, but they refused to accept any responsibility for the problem. One supervisor even made suggestions that perhaps I had not actually left a message. I won't be shopping with them again.

As a multiple time repeat customer, it's a pleasure to know I will always be doing business with a company that handles quality merchandise, at excellent prices, fast delivery, no sales tax, and extremely important,.... a real live, pleasant, helpful person will answer the phone every time; not a machine. My call truly IS important to you. In the unlikely event of a problem, I know it will be resolved to my satisfaction. I reccomend Vanns to everyone.

Terrible

On 1/3/2008 I ordered an Onkyo 705 receiver from Vanns and was immediately charged the next day on my credit card. After my card was charged they informed me the item was not in stock. I requested cancellation of my order... suddenly Customer Service is now absent and will not respond to my e-mails or credit my charge card. After numerous e-mails to Vanns - still no resolution. I still have not received the product! I still have not had a credit applied to my credit card! And still no responses to my e-mails as of 1 15/2008. Run as fast as you can away from this company!! Yes their prices may be less on the onset, and some may have good results. I for one will NEVER order anything from this company again and warn everyone I know!!

Vanns was really fast at getting my order out. I ordered in the morning and they shipped it out that day. I purchase a lot items off the Internet and I am not use to getting my item shipped so fast. The price of the Sony speakers was great that I bought.

Would Never Buy From Again

I would never buy from Vanns.com again. I purchased a TV that when I pulled from the box was a "lemon". The TV would turn on and off automatically. Vanns would only state their return policy and referred me to Samsung who would only provide service on the TV, not replace. They ignored my E-mails and just continued to repeat their return policy. All I wanted to do was get the TV replaced. I have since disputed the charge with AMX. Terrible experience from this retailer.

This is a REAL review...not something generated by a PR dept! :-) Had a WONDERFUL experience with my purchase of a Sony KDL-46XBR4 tv from Vanns. Their customer service people were very friendly and knowledgeable; the package shipped on the Monday after Black Friday when I ordered it; it did get delayed one day in shipping in the Yellow Freight system, but given the time of year, very understandable. The box arrived without a scratch on it (granted it only traveled from Missoula,MT to the Denver, CO area), and the set not only worked "perfectly" from the moment I turned it on, but also is an amazing piece of technology. I recommend the product and Vanns unhesitatingly.

I ordered a Samsung LN-S4095D 40 inch LCD TV. I was looking for a well reviewed online electronics company, and this place seemed to have good review so I gave it a shot. Everything worked fantastically. I got a great TV for 600 dollars less than it would have cost me ON SALE at Best buy here in town. I also got a free 100 dollar DVD player! When I ordered over the phone there was no high pressure push for other accessories. The items were shipped when I was told they would be, I was provided with tracking numbers, and the items arrived 3 days after being shipped. The TV and DVD player are in perfect working condition. I would buy again from here in a heartbeat.

Fast, easy, and no problems.

This is my second major purchase from Vanns.com, both Sony video projectors. The items have always been shipped the same day ordered, packed well, and delivered as quickly as the shipping method allowed. I received free shipping both times (UPS and FedEx Ground), and via UPS, the item arrived in three days, and by FedEx, it took six days, although the items included an oversized projector screen, which may account for the longer delivery time. Not bad, coming from Montana to Florida.
My most recent purchase was a Sony VPL-HS60, which I compared prices online and at retail stores. Vann's had the best price, and I knew from my previous experience, that I would not regret my choice of dealers.

Extremely happy with my dealing with Vanns! Brandy Kinnikin was my service rep. I was treated very well and the buying experience was excellent. I ordered a Samsung LN-S3296D HD TV (32") on Thursday, February 15. It arrived via Ground Delivery (Fedex) on Tuesday, February 20. Considering that this was over a 3-day weekend, I was impressed. The TV arrived in super shape, was easy to set up, and with a few minor adjustments, the picture is Very Good. I won't be able to see how HD works for 2-5 weeks since Time-Warner is back-ordered on the HD/DVR box required for receiving HD via cable. Vanns was the only online site that had the TV in stock. No retail stores I visited had this TV in stock since it has been supposedly discontinued. However, Consumer Reports rates this TV the best in the 32" LCD range and the replacement Samsung was rated not as high as this model. Thanks Vanns, I will be shopping again in the near future when we decide to purchase a much larger TV for our family room.

BEWARE took $9143 dollars not refunded

Absolutely FRAUD, I order on Jan, 21st, 2004, 4 bose lifestyle 50 systems. They charges my credit card $9143 dollars. they never shipped the order and i still have not received the credit.
So they took my $9143 dollars and sent nothing and when i called they simply stated that they wont sell to me , i then asked if they really had them in stock and they didnt answer.
I think they are a bait and switch outfit and i STRONGLY suggest to stay away from them.

A terrific transaction! Vann's had the 40" Samsung LN-S4096D TV I wanted. One with all the bells & whistles. They had it for $400 less than most places. Because I bought after the Super Bowl rush, they shipped it FREE from Missoula, MO, to me in Virginia, saving me $190. It arrived two days earlier than expected. I shop on-line a lot, and have for years. Few stores make me as comfortable as Vann's did when running a credit card charge for multi-thou. For certain I'll be back. Oh, and the TV is fantastic. With my modest UHF roof antenna I discovered close to a dozen HD channels most people here have no idea are on the air, including 3 HD sub-channels at one PBS station.
