If you have health issues, you should always consult a doctor before going on any diet.

The reason that the diet drinks work for some people is because of the caloric intake.
You could lose the same amount or more by drinking V8. juice. There are people that go on liquid diets and lose weight. V8. juice is more filling then some liquids that you could drink and probably has more nutrition in it.

Eat weight watcher meals or look what they have in them and then prepare them for yourself and put them in the freezer to have later. Some of the weight watcher meals are better then others. Pick the ones that you like and get them. I get mine at the grocery outlet so that I do not have to pay the high price for them. You can also get them at costco and other warehouse stores.

If you are healthy and want to lose weight fast, I have found the Dr. Stillman Weight Loss diet works. It is one that you just eat protein on. When I went on this one years ago, I would lose 10 pounds every other week. The key to this one is you have to drink lots of water. The water washes the fat out of your system.

It is a very simple diet. What I ate was Hamburger, drained of fat, cottage cheese, hard-boiled eggs, crab meat (now crab meat is too high). You can eat anything that is protein but you HAVE to drink lots of water. Pitchers of it. The more water you drink the more you will have to urinate and the more weight you will lose. You don’t have to eat hamburger you can eat other meat products that are protein, I am just telling you what I ate. Of all the diets that I have been on this is the one that took off the most pounds.

On this diet you will crave vegetables and sweets. Even if you normally don’t like vegetable’s, you will start to crave them. What I did was take a teeny bit of catsup and put it on my cottage cheese and my hamburger, I still lost weight.

Another thing that Dr. Stillman suggested was, if you absolutely think that you will die if you don’t eat a M&M or candy bar , he suggested that you go ahead and eat it and eat a hole bag of them till you are sick of them. Then go back on the diet. This would of course slow your progress down. But if you have to have one then go for it.

If you are interested in this diet , you can pick one of his books up at the store. It is in paperback.

Or you can just eat protein and drink lots of water. Depending on how much weight you have to lose you should lose some every other week.

Good Luck on any diet that you choose. I know how hard it is to get motivated and get one of these started.
