Why pay more?

Over the years I have come to realize that more does not always mean more! The old saying you get what you pay for may not always hold true. When it comes to over the counter medication our choice varies greatly! Some things we simply have to pay full price for, to get what we want out of the medication. Like Tylenol, it is a main product in our house. We don't buy the cheaper store type brands of this. But for a lot of products we have found they work just as well as the known brand for a lot less money.
Heart burn medication is one such item. Both my husband and I get it nightly! Especially now that I am 8 1/2 months pregnant, it just does not ever seem to go away and never come back. We used to buy Tagament brand heart burn medication. This works wonderful! It will clear up your heartburn in a matter of an hour and works through the night. The only thing is, how expensive this stuff is! We used to just pay the price and not think about the amount we were spending on this stuff. (About $6 for 6 pills.) When you have to take one every night though, this can get pretty expensive!
One day while shopping at Save A Lot, our local discount food store. I came across a heart burn medication that looked similar to our Tagament. So I picked up a package to try. It is called Health Pharm, Heartburn 200. The box said it compared to Tagament HB 200 with the main ingredient being Cimetidine. (The same stuff you find in Tagament) There are 18 tablets (doses) in the box and the price is amazing! Only $1.97 for the whole box! That adds up to a tremendous savings!
Does it work as well as Tagament? That was the only question left in my mind. So I bought it, took it home and we tried it. Both my husband and I were surprised that yes, it did work as well as the leading brand. I could not tell any difference between the two. Health Pharm worked as fast, and as effective as the other with this huge price difference. And with getting 18 in a box, they lasted so much longer. It makes it hard to run out and then have heartburn with no medication left in the medicine chest. We will never pay top dollar again!

Active Ingredient per tablet:

Uses
Relieves heartburn , acid indigestion and sour stomach.
Prevents heartburn, acid indigestion and sour stomach brought on by consuming food and beverages.
Directions
For relief of symptons, take 1 tablet with water.
For prevention of symptoms brought on by consuming food and beverages, take 1 tablet with water 30 minutes before eating a meal you expect to cause symptoms.
This product can be used up to twice a day.(in 24 hours)
