My Weight Loss Trouble
Nov 23 '00
Ever since I can remember, I have been a person with a problem of being overweight. I have been wearing clothes in the plus sizes and scared to step on a scale sometimes because of what bad news I know I'm going to receive. It became a problem for me when I went to the doctor and they told me that I weighed over 190 pounds.
Now if you took a good look at me, you would think that I weighed about 140 pounds, but I never thought the doctor would've said 190 pounds. I had a choice, either put myself in a risk of getting bigger and gaining more weight, or start doing something that might help me.
I joined a program at HIP medical center where they taught you the best diet to have and what foods are not so good to eat. They also gave exercise tips telling me that it wasn't such an effective thing to lower my food intake and not exercise. This program worked for me for a week, but I didn't keep it.
I started doing a little bit of exercise myself. Eating the same amount of food while I was also running, walking and working a lot that kept me out of the kitchen, helped me go from 190 lbs to 150 lbs in less then 3 months. I was so happy about the way I trimmed down. I decided to keep my exercise routine up when I went back to school. I started going to the gym and it was very odd that I gained all my weight back.
Recently, I started a new diet as well as a gym. I've ben cutting out or at least lessening the intake of what I love to eat the most.
Now this may not only be what I like to eat the most but most people will take a larger plate of rice or even macaroni. So I started cutting it out. I cut out most starchy foods including bread, potato, corn, rice, and pasta and it worked. I also reduced or even cut out the intake of juice and oily foods. I found that drinking hot boiled water with vinegar after eating, helped cut fat. I also joined Bally Total Fitness and even though I don't go to the gym every day, I feel so good when I work out that I know that one day, I'm going to be my desired weight.
So my message to you is, if you feel that it is impossible for you to lose weight no matter the numerous ways you have tried, take your time and put a little bit of yourself into your tries. If you feel happy with yourself, your tries will be even more effective because then you won't feel like you are wasting time cutting out unnecessary foods or even excercising. You'll just be aiding yourself to having a better mental perception of yourself and assisting yourself to whatever your goal may be.
