It'll Make You Look Cool....

Everyone has their own opinions on how to quit. Cold Turkey. Taper Off. Chew gum. Whatever path you choose, the only way to stop smoking is to continue to not smoke.
Sure, it's easy to SAY, but is it easy to do? For millions of Americans, the answer is a resounding NO! For some reason, we Americans have lost discipline and a strong mind. Those are the only two things that will make you stop smoking. Those two things can only be found inside you. They can't be bought, and the only way to obtain them is to dig deep within yourself and tap into them.
I had not been a smoker for long when I'd quit. I'd only been smoking for four years or so. I enjoyed smoking. It was something that I liked to do, especially if I was drinking. I started out smoking Marlboro. They gave me headaches. I know, I know, if it made you feel bad, then why did you do it? A weak mind and no discipline. My brother clued me in to a brand of cigarettes that he'd smoked and liked. Winstons. So I tried them, and I liked them.
The thing about Winstons that most people don't realize is that they are 100% Natural. What does that mean to you, the smoker? That means that there is nothing more than tobacco in that stick. No additives, no preservatives, nothing. Is this brand of cigarette good to smoke? No, it doesn't do GOOD things for you, but it is a lot better than other cigarettes. Winstons also have a cotton filters, not fiberglass. Cotton is a better filter, and isn't as apt to damage your lungs like fiberglass.
Now, why would I promote a certain brand of cigarettes in a 'Stop Smoking' forum? I do this, because I believe that if you switch to this brand, and then try to quit, it will be much easier. Because Winstons are 100% natural, there is a lot less in the cigarettes to become addicted to. I quit smoking cold turkey. I stopped smoking on December 24, 1999. I can't say I've not had a cigarette since, but I don't have the desire to smoke.
That is my tip for quitting smoking. Switch to Winstons, smoke those for a while, then stop smoking. You'll feel your need to smoke not be as strong, and that will make it easier to quit smoking.
