BEWARE! When shipping internationally, the gifts may not arrive because of customs delays. The recipient is required to show ID at a DHL facility that can be as much as 2 hours drive from their home location. This makes it inappropriate for corporate gifting purposes--creates a big hassle for the person you are giving a gift.

You are better off shipping from within the country. Call the concierge of an in-country luxury hotel for recommendations.

I had a similar experience with zChocolat. I found their customer service responsive, but unable (and disappointingly, unwilling, to help or offer any type of credit or refund).

zChocolat's are some of the best Chocolates I have ever had! I have order many times! But I am very upset with my last order!! I placed an order to be sent to my wife on October 09 2006 to Bangkok Thailand. As of this date 22 October the Chocolates have still not been delivered! They have been delay in Bangkok since the 11th of October! DHL has delayed them due to needed paperwork! After tracking the Package on line! And only until I emailed DHL to find out what the delay problem was, They told me that my wife needed to fax them a copy of her passport! This was 6 days after the package had arrived in Bangkok Thailand! No one from DHL or zChocolat's email or call me to notify me or my wife that this paperwork was needed! So I will never be sending anymore Chocolates to Thailand Via DHL!!!!!!!
